Layer Paint Palm warbler Breeding male

In Florida we only get these guys in the winter, and they are usually a dull brown, males have a little more yellow on them. However I was really taken with the breeding male plumage and decided to paint him in his prime! They get a rust red forehead in the spring and fades over the summer. Usually you can only see this bird in the northern states of America and Canada during the breeding season. But, being one of the brightest yellow Florida birds I do enjoy them visiting and they are easy to distinguish.

Waiting on a video adapter for my wacom cintiq to come in... so I've been painting on my tablet recently. ^^
