Two little fae dragons playing around.
One is based on birdwing butterfly, the other i made up lol.
watercolour pencils and background is part of a photo i took.

hehe was working on this as well as the deathbird, seemed my muses were fighting over me.

They're pyraustras (or pyraustrie; the african insect-sized dragons). Very nice :)

This is fabulous, I too love dragons but havn't as yet painted any. I have one in the pipeline, & will post either here or WC when it is finished.

Wow, that's awesome! I love the colours! :D Maybe I should get some watercolour pencils. Do you need special paper for it?

Well i recommend not using copier paper, as the thinner the paper the more chance you get of the paper becoming wavy when they dry. However you do not need a lot of water, so artpad paper is usually ok. I tend to use paper with weight of 110mg+. Also i only have 24 watercolour pencils, so don't need many as they can be blended very well.
