cf- Naga by chaosia cf- Naga by chaosia
Creature feature for forum website this month was the Naga, from India/Hindism. A race of half snake, half human that are in a way demi divine.

Due to the Indian myth I based her design on Indian clothing, in particular bridal wear, it is so pretty!

The snake patterning is based off of the Indian rock python. Inked and coloured with pencils. Edited a little in photoshop elements. Yes I know about the 'back' hands sort of being the wrong way round, I however think that would be funky.

The cloth she's wearing looks rich in color and texture, the pose is graceful, and the jewelry and clothes are beautiful. Well done!

Hey! Why was I not told about this one? >.> I'm barely on DA anymore, so I never saw it before today. *sics kitty on you*

Anyways...tis very purdyful. I like her face, the features are well defined and shaded. The hands are well done too, though look like they were a pain to pull off. And her clothes are very nicely done, especially with the use of textures and patterns. That muse that likes to make me draw lots of little beads and jewelry and accessories must be visiting you lately, she's very decked out XD I like it.

um I did link it in a chat with fae, shad and you hmm must have missed it though.

Yes loooots of jewelery but then again I had to decided to give her an Indian bride look and they get very decked out for their weddings. Yes the hands were indeed a pain to pull off, but she is all purdy and I even if she was hard to pull off I like her so yay.

I like the fact the hands are backwards... gives her more versatility of movement.
Very well done. It's one of your best human features and wonderful in details.

Thankies fae, yes I did think well she's a snake and they very flexible, makes sense with the hands.
I did have a slight reference for the angle of face and the splayed hand, but that was all >.>
