Too much blood had been spilled. It started with a single drop, but the sadness of the earth grew stronger. So too did the earth reply, crying gently at first. Nothing changed, and the light rain of tears transformed into heavy storms. Yet still it persisted. In one final outburst, the earth cried out a single tear, from which torrential flooding overwhelmed the battlefield as an attempt to cleanse the pain and suffering that had so long plagued this stretch of land. Afterwards, the entire region grew into dense swampland, impossible to pass by land for centuries.
