Just my latest work, ranging from crafts to fine arts. I work in a wide variety of mediums to help prevent burnout and because I can. Why restrict myself to just one when there are so many?

Commissions

Simple Bracelet or Anklet
This is for a single bracelet or anklet made using cotton and/or soft hemp, glass or seed beads, or no beads at all.  It will be adjustable with a loop and two braided cords so you can tie it to the size you prefer.  From you I'll need a color scheme, bead preference, and the measurement for the smallest you will want the length to be.

The price includes shipping for the US.  For international orders I will need you to contact your post to see what is or isn't permitted in your country.  If what you want is permitted I'll then send you an invoice via PayPal or you can make a donation to my Ko-Fi to cover shipping costs.
Simple Necklace
Just a simple necklace made using cotton and/or soft hemp.  Glass, wood, and stone beads as well as a pendant are included if so desired.  Pendants are glass, metal, stone, bone, crystal, and some are a combination.  All I need from you is a color preference, what sort of pendant you want (I have faith-based pendants as well), and the length you want the necklace.  The drop-point will be helpful.  The drop-point is where the center the necklace will sit.

The price includes cost of shipping within the US.  For international orders please ask your post about what is and isn't permitted in your country.  If they approve of the materials I'll send you an invoice via PayPal to cover the shipping cost or you can make a donation to my Ko-Fi.
Mug Rug
Mug Rugs are like coasters but are no smaller than 6 x 9 inches.  The price here is for a 6 x 9 to 7 x 10 inch mug rug.  I typically use traditional methods for these, like the first and third example.  All I need from you is a color scheme or a general theme you'd like.  The first example is "earth tones", the second is made using crazy quilting and the them is "summer lemonade" and the third is traditional "spring garden".

The price includes the cost of US shipping.  For international orders I'll need to send you an invoice via PayPal or you can make a donation to my Ko-Fi account (link is at the top of the page in my profile).
Single Coaster
This is for a single coaster, finish size roughly 6 x 6 inches.  It'll be made using scraps from previous projects and the style will be traditional or "crazy quilting" (the examples shown here were made using crazy quilting).  All I need is a color scheme.  The price includes the cost of US shipping.  For international shipping I'll send you an invoice via PayPal or you can make a donation to my Ko-Fi account (link is in my profile towards the top of my page).
Coaster Set (six coasters)
This is for a set of coasters 5 x5 to 6.5 x 6.5 inches.  It's a set of SIX.  They can be the same colors or a theme.  I will make these using crazy quilting (seen in all the examples) or traditional.  These can serve as hot pads to protect a surface, but they aren't suitable as pot holders (what you use to pick up hot dishes from a stove or pans out of the oven).  All I need from you is a theme.

The price includes shipping for the US.  For international orders I'll need to send you an invoice via PayPal or you can make a donation to my Ko-Fi.
Place Mat
This is for a single place mat, roughly 12 x 18 to 14 x 20 inches.  It'll be made using a technique called crazy quilting (seen in the first and third example) or traditional (seen in the second example).  All I need from you is a theme.  The first is "summer lemonade" (part of a set I made for my mother), the second is "simple autumn", and the third is "dark daisies" (part of a set for a friend).

The price includes the shipping within the US.  For international I'll need to send you an invoice via PayPal or you can make a donation to my Ko-Fi.
Place Mat set (four place mats)
This is for a set of place mats made using traditional techniques (the example is crazy quilting, but it gives you an idea of what a set looks like).  You'll receive four with matching colors/themes.  The theme for the example is "dark daisies".  Each place mat will be 12 x 18 to 14 x 20, but all will be the same size.

The price includes the cost of shipping within the US.  For international shipping I'll need to send you an invoice via PayPal or you can make a donation to my Ko-Fi.
Candle/Table Mat
I make these using foundation paper piecing.  This technique requires I sew pieces to paper in a specific order, trimming as I go, and sewing the separate sections together.  It creates sharp points and blocks that can't be made using any other method.  It's also time-consuming and requires more material.  The results are worth it though.

From you I will need a theme.  It can be colors and more specific like "birds".  I'll do my best to reflect this.

The size will be between 10 x 10 to 15 x 15.  If you want something larger I'll set up a separate commission listing.

The price includes shipping within the US.  For international shipping I"ll need to send you can invoice via PayPal or you can make a donation to my Ko-Fi.
Short Traditional Table Runner
A table runner is a decoration for a table, shelf, or for pagans it can serve as an altar mat.  For this listing it's for a smaller size, 10 x 30 to 15 x 36, and made using traditional methods.

What I need from you is a theme.  The first example was made for my grandmother using her favorite colors, the second was "butterflies".

The price includes US shipping.  For international I'll need a payment via invoice from PayPal or a donation to my Ko-Fi.
Mini Quilt (made using FPP)
The size of the quilt will be 20 x 20 to 25 x 25 inches and will be made using foundation paper piecing (FPP).  The first two examples are actually table mats, but they help reflect what FPP looks like.  The third and fourth example are finished quilts made using FPP.  What I need from you is a theme or preferred colors.  The fourth example's theme is "rainbow" and I made it using only scraps from previous projects.

The price includes the shipping costs for the US.  For international orders I'll need to send you an invoice via PayPal or you can make a donation to my Ko-Fi.

These quilts take considerably longer than my smaller items, ranging from two to six weeks.

What theme or color scheme (oh, it rhymes!) would you like me to use for future quilt projects?

I no longer model. No one wants to pay, everyone seems to want to do it trade, and I need money. As such I've stopped modeling. Please do not inquire about this further.

Buy Me a Coffee at ko-fi.com There is now a monthly recurring donation option, much like Patreon. I have details on my Ko-Fi page regarding the tier system I have set up. Check it out and feel free to share. Thank you!

Pay What You Want

Journal Entry: Sun Oct 14, 2018, 6:15 PM
My Shop | Tumblr | RedBubble | My AO3 | Fine Art America | Support My Art

How This Works:

  1. Tell me what your budget is (can be anything from $5 to $5000)
  2. I tell you what I can make within that budget
  3. After going over details for the commission you pay 50% upfront
  4. I make the commission
  5. When finished I list it on my shop and charge only the other 50% + shipping
  6. Once I receive the payment I ship it off to you
  7. If you decide after I’ve begun/finished the commission you can no longer afford it I will keep the 50% upfront payment.  The item will still be listed in my shop at 50% of the agreed cost.
  8. The budget does not include shipping.  Keep that in mind.  If your budget is only $5, and that includes shipping, it’s going to be a no.  Shipping in the US generally starts at $3 for small lightweight parcels.
  9. If you wish to commission me for more than one item assume you’ll need to have at least a $15 budget prior to shipping.
Specifically for Jewelry
  1. I need you to provide links to three pieces I've made that you favor most
  2. What you like best about them
  3. Color preferences
  4. Length of the finished piece
  5. I also need to know if you're allergic to metal (I specialize in making metal-free jewelry)

Items already listed in my shop are unavailable for this event.  The link to my shop is at the top of this journal post.

Check out the links below to get a feel for my style.  I don't always make brightly colored things; they're just a personal preference.  If you want dark colors I can definitely do that.

If you decide you want a surprise
  1. I'll need your budget
  2. What you love and what you cannot tolerate (colors, designs, texture, etc)
  3. General size (be it a quilt or jewelry)
  4. I may also need to write up a simple contract stating you want a surprise and want to see what I can do
  5. 50% payment upfront (as stated above) and the rest of the payment when I list the item in my shop
  6. If you, for whatever reason, don't care what I make for you so long as I make something please let me know
  7. You are either completely mad or you know I'll make something fabulous

The event runs from October 13, 2018 to December 31, 2018.  Seeing as the holidays are coming up now is a good time to get a head-start on commissions.  One-of-a-kind gifts are a wonderful things to receive, even if it’s just for yourself.

If you're serious about hiring me for a commission please send me an email at naynaymacrame@yahoo.com with the title PWYW.  Notes tend to get lost around here.

Examples of my work in no particular order

Stained Glass Blossoms FINISHED front by ChaosFay For something of this size and grandeur expect to pay no less than $1000 USD.  If you want this quilt specifically I have it available in my shop.

Rainbow Coaster Set by ChaosFay This is a set of six coasters.  If you want just a single coaster it won't be from this set because this is already listed.  However, individual coasters will start at $5 USD.

Subdued Storm FINISHED by ChaosFay If you'd like a quilt using this design but in a different size the price will vary.  This specific quilt is listed at $250 USD.

Butterfly Star by ChaosFay This was made using a technique called "foundation paper piecing".  It's more labor intensive, yes, but the results are well worth it.  If you want a mat of this design it starts at $35 USD.

Babd Ritual Necklace by ChaosFay I strongly recommend reading the information I have in the description.  For something like this it starts at $35.  This piece in particular is valued at $65.

Simple Coyote and Hematite necklace by ChaosFay A completely metal-free necklace!  It's a simple design and the price starts at $25.  The design is simple but it uses a lot of cord length.

for Julia by ChaosFay One of my chunky necklaces!  This is a flexible design allowing for all sorts of custom changes from what you see here.  It starts at $45 USD if using only one color, no beads, and no pendant.

Activity

TFW you thought what you ate was gluten-free but turns out it isn't and now your body is gonna be a wreck for weeks.  Ugh.  Celiac Disease isn't fun.  It's expensive and sometimes a really big nasty mess.  Rice and ginger ale for dinner tonight.
I've basted the Star Wars quilt and will begin handquilting it today.  WOOT!

Commissions are still open, btw.
I just made the same error so many have made regarding my own jewelry.  I saw a dice bag and thought it was MACRAME but it was, in fact, crotchet.  Said artist saw my jewelry, compared it to her own work, and agreed there's very little to distinguish the two techniques as being separate.  I now understand why people get confused when they see my work. LMAO!!!!
Woke up feeling much better today, though still madly sore.  I also had the great pleasure of someone inquiring about hiring me for a commission.  Yay!!!  My weekend started rough, but I think it may improve.
