Rest In Peace Stan Lee
Today we lost a true legendary man, one that shaped the entertainment and pop culture with his vision.  Stan "the Man" Lee helped with the creation of Marvels most iconic characters with the help of artists like Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko (who also sadly passed away recently this year), and others. He was the face of Marvel for many fans for decades, and he will be missed.
I believe the first time I heard of him was back in the late 90s on the Spider-man cartoon show
fun fact, the character Madame Web was voiced by Stan Lee's wife, Joan Lee, who sadly also passed away last year.
And of course most younger people probably know him best for his cameos in the Marvel movies.

RIP Stan Lee!
He was one of the most influential people in my life and is almost solely responsible for who I am today. I started buying comic books and Mego action figures in the 1970s and of course watched cartoons featuring Superheroes like "SuperFriends" and "Spider-Man" ( The original cartoon) I had an aptitude to draw before I ever picked up a comic book, but at some point in the early 70s, I was given my first comic books. I liked the DC books (my favorite character was Captain Marvel), but my favorite titles were the Marvel titles. Back in those days, Marvel titles featured editorials from this charismatic guy who said cool things promoting Marvel titles and clubs. It was Stan Lee! The world broadly got to hear his voice for the first time during his voice over on "Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends" during NBC Saturday morning's in the early 80s during his narrations. He began making more appearances publicly afterwards. I was lucky enough to meet him back in

In Loving Memory of Stan Lee

Ladies and gentlemen, it grieves me to say this. But today, we lost another beloved and respected celebrity. In this case, it was Stan Lee of Marvel Comics. Yes, its quite shocking and unexpected, but it's finally come to pass; after long decades of a rewarding and successful career, one of the most respected people in the comic book industry has finally passed away. Now, at first I was quite shocked and horrified to hear about this tragic news. And no doubt many fans from around the world share my grief and are taking this time to mourn his loss. And believe me, I'm one of those people who is mourning him right now as we speak. But you know, these things do happen. And since he was an old man in his 90s, it was inevitable that he would die sooner or later. And I remember about 10 years ago, I wanted to meet him in person. But that will never happen now. At least not in this life. But as we take this time to mourn the passing of a well-k

Rest in peace Stan Lee
Today I have learned that something I have been dreading and fearing has finally happened, today on November 12th 2018 co-founder of Marvel Comics Stan Lee has passed away at the age of 95.
With the creation of the Marvel Universe Stan helped bless the world with one of the greatest works of fiction to ever exist and personally created my favourite Hero, the Incredible Hulk.
The world will never be the same without Stan's influence and now I only dread what Disney will do to Marvel now that it's last co-founder has breathed his last.
Rest in peace Stan, you've lived a good long life and given to the world more than we've ever deserved.
Excelsior.

RIP Stan Lee
A sad day True Believers and a sad day for Geek/Nerd culture
Stan Lee, father of Marvel Comics has passed away at 95
https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/stan-lee-legendary-marvel-superheroes-creator-dead-at-95
"Stan Lee, the comic book mastermind who changed the landscape of the superhero genre by creating countless beloved characters, has died, his daughter told TMZ. Lee was 95. It’s unclear at this time exactly how the comic book legend died, but he has experienced several health issues throughout the past year including a battle with pneumonia as well as issues with his vision. Lee is most well-known as the creator of several comic book characters such as Spider-Man, Black Panther, The Avengers, X-Men and many more. He started the mammoth Marvel Comics giant with Jack Kirby in 1961. Since then, he’s not only continued to promote the brand, but appeared in cameos throughout all the film and TV projects for which his characters have been used. Lee is survived by his daug

The Howling Wolf Double Trouble
It's been a while since the Master of Muay Thai has been summoned for a League Fight. It has been some time indeed. The Muay Thai Tiger almost forgot what the summons looked like. However he figured it out and here he has arrived. San Francisco's Chinatown is the place where the match has been arranged to be set up. A couple of streets have been blocked off and traffic has been redirected for the upcoming match. Sagat arrived early and remains in the sectioned off fighting area. He's disrobed and in fighting attire; A pair of trunks and his leg and forearm wrappings. By now people have gathered to observe and watch what's scheduled to happen. The Muay Thai Legend waits patiently with his eye closed.
Anthony, too, hasn't had a league match in some time; between teaching at the dojo, and participating in Saturday Night Fights... but when he received the letter and saw who the proposed opponent was he couldn't very well say no. The Muay Thai Master himself--Sagat. While a Tony Styles may

Armistice Day: 100 years later
On the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, the Great War ends. At 5 a.m. that morning, Germany, bereft of manpower and supplies and faced with imminent invasion, signed an armistice agreement with the Allies in a railroad car outside Compiégne, France. The First World War left nine million soldiers dead and 21 million wounded, with Germany, Russia, Austria-Hungary, France, and Great Britain each losing nearly a million or more lives. In addition, at least five million civilians died from disease, starvation, or exposure. The words, through letters, of those who fought there speak far more eloquently than I:
"My darling parents,
Today has been perfectly wonderful. We got news of the armistice at 9:30 this morning. I got 10 minutes to sort out a detachment for a grand parade in the square of Mons, so I got everybody I could lay hand to scrub the mud off. The streets were packed with wildly cheering civilians chucking flowers at us and carrying on like only a fo
