The thing it's holding is a necromancer wand, not a rose. 
I added sparkly effects, but they looked like crap.
Think it's too fast?
Anyway, this is what's happening: Green, a necromancer (from Guild Wars, of course), bludgeons Blue from behind, checks that Blue is dead, then animates an undead minion from Blue's corpse.
