There once was a beautiful, voiceless bride
Dressed in blue-green, veiled in white
Betrothed to a lively golden groom
Little did they know of their approaching doom.
The world had only ever known the light of day
Darkness had always been kept well at bay
But as starry night eventually fell
The golden groom fell with it, under its spell.
Enraged but still silent, his bride cast him down
Dimming his light and taking his crown
Far away in the deepest depths he was chained
With the light he'd brought gone, only night still remained.
Night ruled the world from that moment on
At times even the bride's strength seemed gone
