This is an initial sketch of a drawing that I've been working on for the above stated persion.
I actually learned (a little bit) how to do stuff with hands. Victory is mine.
As you can probably tell, I'm still trying to learn how to draw boots.

On another note, I'm quite proud of how the lower area of the clothing turned out.
The way the overcoat blows in the wind...
That might've actually been the first time that I was truly... drawing, so to speak.
I just drew that part without really thinking about it, without really worrying. And it came out so well...

And then there's the sleeves. Oh my gods, the sleeves.
Perspectives are one of the ultimate challenges for me.
Apart from posing, I can only do frontal views of characters asofnow.
I hope to change this in the future.

Regardless, I hope that CarbonaQuadrangle (carbonaquadrangle.deviantart.c… finds this initial drawing to his liking.
I plan to colour it in the future. It will probably look better then.

I really like drawing anything I do on binder paper.
Seems to give things a sort of a charm.
Well, that's my belief anyway.

Tools used:

My 0.5mm Pentel P205 Mechanical Pencil.
A sand eraser (because waaaaaay too many smudges, and also, I lost my normal eraser T-T)

Really do enjoy where this is going. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I would tweak the helmet as it looks Russian not G.I. American. M1 Helmet same name/ number as Rifle.

You 're doing a damn good job! Keep it up.
