I just got back from NDK, my local anime convention.  I was selling in the artist's alley, and I had a complete blast doing so.  I met so many nice people, got tons of encouraging words, and was really impressed with the talent that was on show there.  I'm definitely going to try and get back there next year. This makes the second excursion out into the general populous, and I'm planning more.  Everything's kind of up in the air right now, but I'll be doing updates when I get more shows lined up.
