Mother brings her daughter a gift
"A present for my sweet love"
The little girl looks with curiosity
"What is it?"
Mother gave her a smile
"Open it"
And so the little girl did
"Is this really for me?"
Mother's smile grew wider
"Do you like her?"
The little girl gives the doll a hug
"I love her. She looks like my sister"
Mother kisses her cheek
"Take good care of her"
The little girl stares at her in the eyes
"I promise to never let her leave my side"
Mother looks at her with adoration
"Make your mother proud"
The little girl always has the doll by her side
She carries her wherever she goes
Mother is always watching her
She loves the little girl for keeping her word
The little girl never lets the doll go
She is always with her even when she sleeps
Mother is always there in her dreams
She leaves when morning light shows
The little girl went to venture out
She carries the doll on her back
Mother is gone and she needs to find her
She leaves when she hears a
The time I am at an odd age
Where do I go from here
Every so often I look back to my old days
Not much to say now
Tomorrow will be a new day for me
Yet one I will call another typical day someday
Then I hope to cherish what I have now

My skin turns red and writhing
The bugs will not leave me be
The parasites make me screech
My body does not belong to me
This one livelihood sucked by the leech
Find the thread everyone says
Turning to that direction with their heads
I rather not go to that void
My head is spinning from this nightmare
These deceived eyes does not avoid
Perhaps I am going to bright care
If you were in the room what would you have done
I would smoke a cigar until the puffs are gone
Play the piano when I am feeling blue
Wait for my lover by my side to say boo
Pray that I have a friend when I am in need
Stare at the mirror on the wall until it is time to feed
I want to hide in the smoke
So that I may never look at the glass pane that I once had poke
"Dinner will be ready soon," a deep voice shouted from somewhere.
Cooked seafood and veggies wafted all over the kitchen. From the dining room to the bathroom, every single room in the house is filled with the food's scent. The man who was busy cooking sweated so much from the smoke, anyone would think it was raining near the stove.
"Be a good dear and set the table," the woman watching TV directed at a little boy playing his toys on the living room rug. He stood up in the middle of his game, and went over to the kitchen drawers.
When he opened one of the drawers, there was a soft clang coming from silver spoons, forks, and knives. The boy picked a set of silver utensils for four people, and arranged them on a table with four chairs. He also included napkins, cups, and a pitcher filled with iced water.
"Did I do a good job," the little boy asked in a shy manner. "An excellent job," spoken from the father who patted his son's head. He gave his hair a little tussle, which gave the
