Monoprint texture brushes

* 23 textures made using monoprint techniques.
* Varying patterns and paint coverage.
* All brushes are in 72dpi quality (A3).
* Created for CS and newer. If it works on older versions, please tell me.

This was fun to make, but HELL to scan. I was sitting at the scanner for 3+ hours to scan these & the footprint brushes. The paint was still wet on most of them meaning I had to clean the glass between each scan. Original scans are 600dpi.

I was going to share 150dpi versions with you, but DA had a 30mb size limit. :/
Special thanks to Anders Fagerhus for letting me scan two of his prints as well.

Tip: When simulating painted effects, the multiply blending mode is your friend.

//// Usage:
You may use the brushes for personal and commercial work.
You may not sell/redistribute the brushes without my permission (but you may use it in your artwork and sell that).

//// Distribution:
Please do not repack or redistribute the brushes without my permission. The brushes can be downloaded free from this location.

Hello, I downloaded these brushes, not sure if, or how I might use them.
None the less, thank you for making them available. Should I use them in a project,
I will certainly credit you and also post the work that I used them in. Thanks again.
All the best,
Glenn

Hi - do these work in Photoshop 5.1? Having trouble installing. I just drop into the Presets> brushes folder, right? But they don't appear in Photoshop, even after restarting.
Thanks

Unfortunately they will not work in Photoshop 5, as Adobe has changed Brushes since then.

I recommend upgrading to a version from this millennium; there has been many great improvements to Photoshop over the last 12 years. ;)

If you're on an old/slow system, CS3 might be best (as the new interface in CS4-CS5 is heavier).

If you meant Photoshop CS5 (version 12), then you can store them wherever you want and load the from the brush panel menu (found on the options bar, or from the brush presets panel):

If you want the set to show in the list it should be in the Presets\Brushes folder as you describe (it won't show until restarting Photoshop).
