This textures is built from photographic material, but is not a simple photograph of surfaces or materials. Ther are up to 100 single photographs needed for every texture. All these pictures have to be stitched together to get one really high resolution image. Many further steps are necessary to remove perspective distortion, correct lighting and to eliminate the seams. Finally every map is post-processed by hand. Usually, it takes more than a day and several gigabyte of data to complete one multi-layered texture.

This file is made free for you as a sample of my work, please support me visit at ARCH-TEX HIGH RES TEXTURES
