Description
Sarah immediately started to regret what she did.
She decided to wake him by throwing a very small stone at him, the smallest and lightest she could find.
Throwing it from the entrance of her small cave shelter and ducking behind it quickly, she heard him wake with a start.
The sound of the same rasping breaths, that she'd heard the last time as he had his bout of hallucinations, crossing the gap between him and her nearby hiding spot.
Sarah clenched her eyes shut and braced, she was scared, his story from last time definitely added up with what she was hearing.
She wanted to run, but knew from past experience that she couldn't escape.
Sarah just stood, and begged that it wore off before the slow, lumbering trudging of his heavy footfalls made it to her . . .
