Sarah's Companion 5

Sarah started moving, slowly but surely.

She came to her senses in the arms of the man who briefly took them from her.

Twisting her body she flung herself from his grasp and started running towards the cave exit.

"Wait!" yelled the man as he chased after her. It was just now he realised how lonely he'd been and the thought of the only other person who'd trusted him now getting away.

He caught up to her very quickly, grabbing her arm from behind as she ran forward.

Sarah tripped as he did so.

Righting herself she scurried on her bum across the floor until she was up against the cave wall with him looming over her.

She tried to escape again, but the man caught both her wrists, holding her in place.

Sarah tried to scream, but the man covered her mouth.

"Stop, just stop" he said as she struggled in his powerful grip.

He uncovered her mouth.

"Let, me, go" Sarah pleaded, "you're hurting me!"

The man loosened his grip a little, but not enough to free her. "You won't last if I let you go" frowned the man.

Sarah knew he was right, but she was convinced she wouldn't last here either.

"You tried to kill me" Sarah replied through fearful shakes.

"I'm sorry" said the man, "I thought you were someone else"

Sarah seemed to relax a little in his grasp as he said that last bit.

"If I wanted to kill you I would've done it during your first night here when I left you that plate of food".
