Sean slithered down the corridor as fast as he could, knife in hand, blood dripping down his arms. He had killed her. He simply couldn't believe it; he'd actually killed her!
"I have a new target for you, one I'm sure you must be quite familiar with," Mr. Aiken said as the naga's body was forced into a bow.
"I'll never--" Sean began before he was interrupted.
"Was I talking to you? Silence him!" At Mr. Aiken's command, Sean's lower arms clamped the palms of their hands over his mouth. "Better. Now, your next target should have no trouble trusting you. I want you to kill William Daniel Innicioni."
Alarms blared and the half-human prisoners pounded on the glass confining them. "Come on!" Alex yelled, galloping as fast as he could down the hall but having to stop every few minutes for the rest of them to catch up. "We have to get out of here!"
"We're coming!" Tasha screamed back, stumbling over her many legs. "You try running with the body of a giant spider!"
