DinyctisNEWS

Little update, comissions aren't stopped at all. My first comisionner isn't in a hurry, so I've been able to make an Inktober duet with Nyarlah (sorry, their DeviantART is mostly inactive, you'll have to check their TumblR to have a look at their artwork).

I'm a day late but Inktober is soon finished, we made it in the shape of a classic 32 cards game, with the benefits of both forcing us to design characters that haven't been designed yet, and put down a little presentation for each of them. I know it is less than the little sceneries made with alcohol markers I can sometimes provide, but it's still a good thing. I'm sure you'd muuuuch rather getting webcomic pages but I'm not at it yet, at least on my side.

You can view the result here, it's only missing Ace of Clovers (will be posted this evening), Ace of Spades and Ace of Hearts. A later, full version will be provided with a few corrections.

Totally out of topic question : I don't translate anymore my journals and everything, I'm unsure of how many French readers I have on my networks. By default I only write in English, please comment down here if you miss my translations.

P.S. : My commissions aaare still opened and I'll be free again to work on them by next week. If you miss me posting Borderlands busts, I'd be more than happy to get back at them in the shape of commishes.
I offer the same exact format than artworks already posted but at a lesser price than they'd normally cost. Contact me if interested :v

It's been a pleasure seeing consistent art updates that actually challenge you and force you to draw a wide array of characters; I love variety so I'm pretty bias with my comment c:

Translation would be nice buuuuttttt, only if you find it worth your while. I mean...I could use google translate but we all know how wonderfully reliable that is...

Wide array and with distance, I'm happy to see they've different body types, personalities and all. My fear has always been to have that bad trait many artists have : loving/perfecting to draw lets say two or 3 character types, setting a few slight variations and basically having an army of similar chars.

While some profesional artists DO have this habit and seemingly don't mind, it's reaaaally reductive. Happens a lot with female chars or in certain fictions.

Aw, I'd post in both French and English heh xD thing is, I manually translate because Google Translate, while the best translator so far, clearly makes me mentally derp when I see how it translates sometimes xD which is logical anyway, some French words are gendered while they're not in English, and gender pronouns don't work the same as well as "belongings" in synthax, so it just CAN'T translate well as a machine.

Oh, I definitely know what you mean. I'm a bit more forgiving if the artist has proven that they can draw a variety of subjects so there's no harm if they enjoy drawing a certain body type over and over... even if it's a bit mind numbing at times XD (same poses are far more offensive to me IMO but ehhh)

Unfortunately that's what gives them attention. Draw what brings you the most success

Yeee that's good! Thank you for sparing me from the derpiness that is google translate  ;v;

I'm more forgiving if the person is, actually, a beginner because.... we all go through this xD or most, I used to only draw thin/skinny, and mostly male characters. I had to force myself but now I have buffy, tall, skinny, little, young and old.... I still lack in fat characters and considering how SJW are violent I try to be cautious with my use of people of color (so much that I have....very little).

Someone who knows how to draw and only goes for the same char over and over again and seriously (I mean, not to relax and all) is a bit more of a comfort zone thing to me.

Yep, you've pretty hit the nail on the head with your comment. It IS a comfort thing. And when people get comfortable they get complacent, and churn out the same quality and subjects over and over.

Is it a bad thing? Yes, and no. People who desire to improve themselves tend to show this in their works, including their art. Their art improves and their subjects expand. They are receptive to feedback and take what is useful to them to expand and grow.

SJWs/NPCs...holy shit. Let's not even go there.
