Sprink 01 - Dead Gears by Cenomancer Sprink 01 - Dead Gears by Cenomancer
I’m so frustrated of wanting to draw nowadays but either not finding time or, when I do, not having any ideas. So, since I haven’t done Inktober this year, here’s a… a… Sprink. Yes. No time limit, no rule, and no theme. At least I won’t be frustrated then. Lets just say I’ll draw ink on paper till summer.

Here’s the first. With a tiny bit of watercolor.

Oh hey, I wouldn't beat yourself up too much though I perfectly understand the frustration you're experiencing. I'm glad to see you drawing again after so long! I really like the colour scheme and your lines are great! Keep at it :>

Thanks :3 well I sometimes need to beat myself up x) aaand a new graphic tablet, ever since I've only had my plus size tablet I've.... used it at first and now it's just used to put my drinks onto (... ). I guess I could force myself to paint with it :/ but my pictures are so much better when I ink traditionally...

Yeah, I beat myself up too. But I had to come to terms with the fact that I can be quite lazy and spend too much time thinking and not acting. Maybe what you can do is ink and clean up/adjust digitally :)

Oh god I'm the same. I keep on planning, I also put down on paper illustration ideas but I never make them because... yeah, sometimes I plan illustrations that'd take ages, I don't have the time, so I put down on paper another idea, etc... in the end I just have a list of "to do later" and with time passing, I just have new ideas and no longer the will to make the first ones.

Hence this little "made up challenge", I noticed Inktober made me draw a fucken lot because I'm just super at ease with ink on paper and since there's little to no coloring involved, that allows me to make plenty of drawings. Though they're mostly simple (and uncoloured gnnn, did I tell you I was a colour freak?), at least I can look back and them and go "hmm, this one and this one are nice ideas/pictures, I can finish them up, and I can put this and this aside because they're not as good".

LMAO this x100. I have so many 'planned' projects and ideas that never see the light of day it's ridiculous! Granted it's a personality thing, but still hilariously annoying! I don't lose the will to work on an image. I just find it boring and get distracted by a slightly more interesting one :D

I wish I can stick to a challenge :( As for your colour freak thing I kinda see it! I think it's great you can ink and revisit to apply colour when you feel up to it. That's the advantage of traditional versus digital; the latter is too vulnerable to deletion in an instant...

Yeah, it IS annoying as ... in the end it's what has actually been produced that counts so, ugh... xD plus perfectionism along to that and you end up making only 1/10 of the things you could do...

I tend not to be able to stick to challenges. The more rules there are, the more I feel restrained and the more I'll lose interest quickly, heh. So far I never used any list for challenges.

Quite frankly, the only two main advantages of traditional are : paper/natural textures and quicker/more expressive inklines (for me). I only ink better on paper because of comfort, everything else is better in digital : correcting mistakes, framing, composition....
