I really love these!! It looks like a type of lily, but it's really a mushroom! I don't know what it's call though, unfortunately.

Looks like black chanterelles(Craterellus cornucopioides), but I'd get a second opinion from a Mycologist before eating them!  I'm very familiar with golden chanterelles, which grow in my backyard, and have cooked and eaten those many times, but I sent several photos to a Clemson University fungus expert who also grows edible mushrooms before I ate any myself, just to be sure.

Oh!  Thank you! I'll have to look that up then.  I didn't even think about them being edible. :)

Well, now, make SURE you find out for like, 110% certain, that these are indeed black chanterelles, because when it comes to mushrooms, a simple mistake can kill you!  There are a lot of look-alike species, some of which are extremely toxic while other nearly-identical species are deliciously edible.  I would definitely seek out someone who really knows about these things and send pics to them before you try eating any of them.

Yup, don't worry. I'm not going to go sticking strange things into my mouth. ;) I probably wouldn't go picking them anyway seeing as they were at a nature park. Thanks for the good advice. :)
