This tutorial will walk you through the step by step process of how to credit your stock providers. I've run across this problem a lot lately ranging from people who truly don't know how to people that are too lazy and claim that they don't know how. I hope this helps those that are willing to learn. I can't stress enough how important it is to credit your stock providers. Failure to give proper credit has led to the loss of some fantastic stock artists. This in turn hurts the artists that use the stock. Please see below for translations of this tutorial.

Update: Thank you so much to namenotrequired for featuring my very first DD!!! :squee: :happybounce: :squee:

:star: If you would like to include this tutorial in your stock (or group) rules and guidelines you are more than welcome to link the thumb code or link in the rules. All I ask is that you let me know where it's being placed. You may not re-upload and redistribute this tutorial as your own, however.

Okay, this seems like a good place to ask: Is it common courtesy to send the producer of a stock image a note/comment asking specifically for permission?

Normally you don't have to. :) Usually we're more concerned that you credit and notify after use.

Indeed, and I still struggle to get the Icon button to work for me. :-( I need to download this, and go through it step by step. I want to start crediting stockers properly.

It's not too hard :) just type :icon celticstrm-stock: without the space between icon and celticstrm-stock, so it shows up as :iconcelticstrm-stock: :D
