Their coming... by rail by CelixDog04 Their coming... by rail by CelixDog04
Was in the Duplainville, WI area a weekend or so ago... I missed a big video chance thanks top my Canon shutting off on it's own as the train passed. But I caught back up with another which had this boxcar that was tagged... finally got in position to photo it better. I know a lot of people who view this as a crime or rubbish, but I think these kinds are really a showing of the art talent out there that just hasn't been discovered beyond the image and no author. I think if this tagger had recreated this on a canvas cheap from the art store... he could easily make some nice money selling it or even get it in a gallery. What's your opinion?

Thank you for asking.

My opinion is that in the grandest scheme of things, this is one of the most victimless crimes that exist. It has not even obscured the the railroad reporting marks or the car number.

It is a product of a creative and artistic mind. When we had our farm, I would have paid nicely for an artist to something like this to one side of our barn.

I do find myself bored with the modern obsession with zombies, but I find the presentation a very tasteful one.

Thank you for sharing.

*nod* very true! Ive seen actually more taging on rail cars that try to incorporate the AAR Numbers and Rail Line name into the graphic more than cover it up.

I completely agree with you.

I love all this graffiti artwork; however, it surprises me they choose to only do it like this.
They have a skill I certainly never plan to acquire, nor do I think I could.

Great shot! (Except now I'm scared of the zombie apocalypse.)

hehe! Thanks and eyeah... I wonder at times why noones thought about opening a DA account to even just take shots of their own work at least. I know its tuff if they are doing this illegally. But then I wonder how could anyone do this quickly an possibly at night with just a spray can. A skill i'd never be able to learn either. hehe

Sok.. the zombies have to either pay the high Amtrak prices or are still hopping around to avoid the rail police inspecting boxcars. hehe
