It would be easy to do something resembling this in Photoshop, but it wouldn't look half as good. If you can operate them, pens and paper are definitely the way forward. : )

Yeah, the upper right works the best for movement. Still cool though.

A hippie? Is Jolene not teaching flat design this year then? That's who I had for it.

yeah that right corner really pulls you in and gives that illusion of movement. it still looks cool though! i had a basic design class where we had to do stuff like this and i hated it!! well- mostly my teacher, he was a prick.
