Installing brushes is a very easy and basic thing to do on photoshop, but everyone has to learn somewhere, so I decided to make a tutorial on it.

This tutorial was made for Photoshop CS, so other versions of Photoshop may be slightly different.

can brushes be downloaded to other art programs? or just photoshop?
celestia-brushstock's avatar
photoshop brushes have a special file extension that only allows them to be used with photoshop, but you can find brushes for other programs as well - I just don't have tutorials up for them yet.

Sorry for the delay in answering!

I'm having slight difficulties with my Photoshop. It's Photoshop 7.0 and everything's there except the brush when you go onto it. Does certain brushes not mix with 7.0?
celestia-brushstock's avatar
I'm not sure - I don't have experience with that version of PS.

:? I know how to do it and all, but once your done, does the brush stay with you? Or does it disapear??
celestia-brushstock's avatar
if you download and place it in your brush folder, it will stay. What you might encounter is that if you shut down photoshop and restart it, you might need to reload the brushes.
