Vertical: Scars

Exercises in composition: Photograph the same scene or person or object in both portrait and landscape mode. Post both photos.
One of my photographic mentors says, "When is the best time to take a vertical photograph? Right after you've taken a horizontal one is an excellent time. Practice seeing things both ways, and learn the strengths of each."
I often shoot horizontal/vertical pairs but don't generally post both.  So I took the Canon AE1 out for a spin and shot some example pairs.  The final set is with the Argus C3 from last Summer.
Notice how in each set the horizontal and vertical views emphasize different aspects of the subject or space.
