MURDOCK:
I have known little civility, sir
Few have been kind, fewer truthful

ROSIE:
And though within my own underhaul, sir
I remain dutifully youthful

My paint reds, then peels, with chagrin
When those trucks begin to sing

MURDOCK:
How I pray fires to begin
When those trucks begin to sing

True, there’s been trouble and trickery, sir
Tremblings and tribulations

ROSIE:
Twitches from troubles with visitors, sir
Them, sir, and their usurpations

MURDOCK:
But my patience wears very thin
When those trucks begin to sing

ROSIE:
How I stay, I can’t imagine
When those trucks begin to sing

I’ve endured struggling and great mix-ups, sir
modern diesels and psychosis

MURDOCK:

Rivalries, sheep, and skullduggeries, sir
Haplessness, hype and rumours too

But, Brunell! That furious din
When those trucks begin to sing

ROSIE:
They betray all ears made of tin
When those trucks,

MURDOCK:
When your trucks

BOTH:
Begin to sing...

[INSTRUMENTAL]
This is a parody of the title song "When You Play the Violin" from A Series of Unfortunate Events, Book the Fifth: The Austere Academy by the Gothic Archies; www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnchlE…

In this case, I thought of Murdoch the Goods Engine and Rosie the Pink Engine singing this version set around the Troublesome Trucks and their obnoxious singing, since Murdock wants peace and quiet ever since he came to Sodor - and with the Trucks, he couldn't get it - whilst since Rosie first came to Sodor from North Wisconsin, they gave her nothing but strife due to her not only being red, harassed and bossed about by Gordon, James & 3 certain diesels, but weak due to an underhauled body...

And whilst both engines are now used to the Trucks' habits, it still grates them a bit.

Hope you viewers find this amusing.

NOTE: BTW, is it Murdock with a 'K' or Murdoch with an 'H'? Seems Google and DA have many works with both names....
