Rosie's Origin Comic by CCB-18 Rosie's Origin Comic by CCB-18
This idea came to me whilst working out to compose a letter to Mr Brenner, one of the writers of the TTTE series, explaining that he (or somebody at either HiT Entertainment, Gullane or Mattel) made a mistake regarding Rosie's unnecessary paintjob - the only mistake made for Season 21 so far - , which many fans agree does not do her any credit (in fact some were so upset over it, they left the franchise - and I needn't mention again the fan who buried his TOMY Rosie model)...

...but I got to thinking. Instead of dismissing it as a mistake, why not use it for something different, like a tale from Rosie's past before she came to Sodor? And that's maybe where this screenshot by :iconthe-arc-minister: could come in; Season 21 - Rosie being painted red but in reverse, as Rosie is rewarded for some effort, or by her own choice, a colour that forever suits her superbly as she officially joins the Fat Controller's railway.

So here, Rosie got wind of what was to happen to her, and she wasn't happy about as that colour caused her a great deal of trouble in her past on her old railway, so got a press conference together to state her story on WHY the writers shouldn't go ahead with such an absurd idea...

This comic was inspired by some of the introduction scenes to :iconthomas1edward2henry3:'s NWR Origins videos on YouTube;…

I crafted this piece with MS Publisher, and used Photoshop for Rosie's thought bubbles as she reflects on her past...

I mean, if it's a pink character you want there's Ashima, and saying Rosie's "unnecessary" Paint-job left many fans unhappy and that people left the fandom over it is a highly exaggerated statement. In fact, the majority of the fans actually like her new paint-job. The addition of the NWR and her number 37 is a nice little gesture to more die-hard fans. I think the red also fits Rosie's tomboyish personality more over her pink. I you don't like her new paint-job, that's fine, but writing making the Thomas team change her back because of a minority opinion and an exaggerated statement isn't a very good way of expressing it.
