Literature Text

What do you think, when you think of a steam train?
Fast as the wind, with the rivals they smote.
That isn't me, but it isn't a dream, train
I'm the luckiest engine
on account of my coat!

Be...cause...I'm...
smaller and I'm lighter
red's a poor choice, pink's much brighter,
I'm a tomboyish fighter!
I'm light on the tracks, cos I'm swift
my moves are twice as effective
Though I'm small,
I ain't no trick of perspective

No sir!
I find Sodor a new haven,
gone's my old name; 37
being red was a pain,
I'm Rosie the Pink!

I'm an engine with a sad past
but on Sodor, live's now a blast
No more troubles with name casts
No mix-ups for me!
Though my class is likely due to a import
cos I'm cute, I still get junior discount!

Yes sir!

I'm a girly kind of hero
Big ol' Gordon can't come near-o!
I'm outshinin' vain James-o,
with a juvenile flare-o!
beat 'em as a pilot,
I'm Rosie the Pink!

(Instrumental Break)

Now, before you get attached, it's only fair to warn you; I'm a unique kind.

Back home, they had me marshalling huge cars,
but now here, this girl is steaming with big stars

Yes, ma'am!
Once a slave girl of the freight yards,
but a big step in the rainbow
Never happy in red,
I'm Rosie the Pink!

What do you think, when you think of a steam train?
Racing with ease, no matter what loads they hoist.
Shooting the breeze, I've been telling you, it's main
I'm the mightiest steam train
on account of my choice!
Trusted to luck!

You won't shame me,
can't reform me
Won't you tame me?
Topham told me,
Pride or ego can't stop me,
I have many good friends!

I'm a pint-sized Suffragette lass!
Full of pep, cheer, and won't take crass
Sure you are the number one,
But you've nothing to fear, oh Thomas,
Now I've come to Sodor,
I'm glad that I did
I'm Rosie the Pink!!!!

OH YEAH!!!
This is the first uploaded version of this parody of the main song of Billy the Kid: The Musical by Ben Frost & Richard Hough; www.youtube.com/watch?v=v68KHw… - but this was actually the second choice of this parody.

As you can see, the song revolves around Rosie who's not long lost her cumbersome red coat and gained her trademark lavender coat and how she stands as a unique engine above the bigger Mainline engines who held her down...

Hope you viewers like it.

Personally, I quite like Rosie's new paint. It feels like something you'd see on an actual railway. But, I will say that her original lavender livery was nice too.
