Aztec JR and Samurai Splinter by CCB-18 Aztec JR and Samurai Splinter by CCB-18
Once again, we find a scene in the pages of Issue #32 of Tales of TMNT where we find two characters from TMNT and Moo Mesa in outfits we, the viewers, would not expect them to wear.

Okay, so Splinter did wear a ninja attire in the episode "Sword of Yurikawa" and we see him in a striped dressing gown in "Case of the Hot Kimono", not to mention playing basketball in "Peking Turtle" and outdoing Leonardo on the skateboard in "Leonardo Lightens Up" - not to mention getting drunk in the :iconnickelodeon-plz: series and ending up licking Leonardo - but still, I'd never picture him, (possibly his Nickelodeon edition, mind) wearing such an outfit for battle. (Possibly if he'd been wearing that under his kimono in the Nickelodeon series, he wouldn't've been killed - twice)

As for JR, that outfit looks more like he belongs with the ancient cultures of South America, such as Aztec, Mayan or Olmec, rather than the Navajo Natives he and the rest of his Pueblo village people in Moo Mesa are based on.

Though, it does suit a Mesan figure very well - though perhaps JR's not the type. Moo, Dakota or Cowlorado certainly....

Whoa!  When Dario Creto said that he has an Open Door Policy in the Lucha Underground temple, he wasn't kidding!
