Taking The Plunge

This is my entry for the 'Portal to another world' contest at

The idea behind this is the girl is taking the plunge from city living to rural life - it is obviously a huge step and perhaps a little wine is required for some Dutch courage! The young man can be seen in a couple of ways - he is either dreaming of taking the plunge from rural life to city living, or he is waiting for the girl to drop into his life - the viewer's choice!
