I adore this shot.
This is my second attempt at making an OC doll based on my MonsterHigh original character bio which was inspired by my username.

This is Catzilerella.
I used a MOxie TEen Tristen doll base and gave her a full body paint with Arylics.
I used better paints than the first time around and I definitely like this version much better, especially because she is monsterously huge compared to the MH dolls, she's even bigger than Frank.

Her face makeup needs some serious work, I still don't have fine pointed brushes, so It's a sloppy "face up"
but I like it and I think it works great.
I want the body paint to be real smooth though, I don't know how to acheive that, unless I use an airbrush or maybe spray paint?

If you have some tips for me that would be wonderful.
I'm new at doll customs.

Ignore the dick who posted the other comment XP The blue is cool and looks pretty smooth already - the only way you'd get it smoother probably would be with an airbrush. For fine brushes, sometimes it works if you cut the bristles - I use a fairly fine brush with the bristles cut at an angle which works well for lips. There are a lot of faceup tutorials on YouTube by much more skilled doll artists than me which are definitely worth checking out if you do decide to rework her makeup. Good luck :)

Awe, thanks!
And no worries.
I tag with Godzilla because my OC is daughter of Godzilla, if rude person could read and follow links, maybe they'd understand. Or still maybe they wouldn't. *shrug*

I've been thinking about getting an airbrush, and thanks for your tips, I've definitely looked up face up tutorials but just watching or reading a tutorial doesn't make you good, I unfortunately need alot of practice.
Still I'm very happy with my doll.
And if people don't think so that's ok too - They don't have to click on my pictures.

(really late reply, sorry, I'm not on here much :s) I'm going by the theory that tutorials and stuff give you tips and inspiration and hopefully help you make fewer mistakes to begin with, but it's true that making mistakes and practise are what you need to learn.

So many people never create anything because they think it will suck. And it's so easy to put down other people's efforts. And it's a shame. If only we had more people who were willing to try and less dickheads. I hope you keep on creating :)

I'm sorry, but, what does this have to do with Godzilla?

I search under "Godzilla" and THIS is what comes up?

Dude, I want to see a giant freakin' radioactive dinosaur (or iguana if one chooses to draw the American Godzilla AKA "Zilla" nstead)! Not some poorly designed custom doll.

WEll Thanks for your ignorance, but my character is an oc based on my user name which is derived from Godzilla.
But hey thanks for being rude.

If you get something random come up in your search, it is a Devo issue, nothing to do with the artist, so bitch about it to your mates instead of leaving an insulting comment. Or maybe you don't have any mates to complain to, which is why you feel this artist should give a crap about your opinion.
