Stock Rules

Rules in short: All you need to know. 
Give credit to CatStock and direct link to image in description, thumb is especially loved
Give me a link so I can see and fav
Caption(LolCat): Put a link ON the image
Outside DA: Put link ON the image
No reupload as is, nor pre-made stock
Print sales: Yes, as long as it's a proper manip
Traditional art sales: Yes, have yet to find a case where I didn't allow it

Note: You don't need a link on the image with normal stock use on dA uploads, it only applies to lol cat and outside of dA (especially PonyBox and similar. Ask and I might make an exception) =^_^=

Quick note on buying premium content: Some of my stock is available to download only by paying points. I hope to be able to earn a little money for all my toil. I make sure the preview image is still nice and big so you can use it for free if you like. Buying gives you access to the full res version, the same rules apply. =^_^=
My cat photos were always added as "download disabled" to avoid direct theft and re-sale, and only a few then given Premium Content. Feel free to request any older image without a download as Premium by commenting on it or linking in a note.






These are the rules for general stock use. I do hope you'll keep to the few rules I've got (mostly, they're common courtesy). If you have any questions that the rules don't cover, please feel free to send me a note and ask. =^_^=



Since so many ask: Yes, my images can be used on PonyBox and similar horse and animal sim sites. The image should have credit to CatStock.deviantart.com ON the photo at all time.
With credit posted ON the image you can also use them in YouTube videos. The text must be readable.

My images can be used to make LOL cat images!
But you MUST put a link to my page ON the image, as shown here =^_^=
Photo by CatStock.DeviantArt.com must be readable on the image.
This is cause lol cat images gets circulated, thus description is not enough.

You can also put credit to yourself, or even a watermark if you feel like it. This is up to you though.

Some images (regrettably) have this in the description:
"Important: Do not re-upload anywhere outside DA! Especially not to "lolcats" and "cute animals" websites!
Doing so is direct theft and will be reported as such!"
That means you can't add the image itself, without a caption, to lol cat sites. BUT you can add your version with a caption and credit on the image on any site you want too. As long as you follow my rules they can be used outside DA. Manips and artwork made with them can be added outside dA.

Note: Lol cat images can not be sold as print or otherwise. 

My images can be used to make plz accounts. Credit with link to image must be given in a journal or similar always available on the front on the account. More details here: catstock.deviantart.com/journa…




If you use one of my images, please give me credit and link to the picture you used, so that others can find it. I would appreciate it if you linked directly to my account as well, but the picture is the most important. I would especially love it if you use the thumbnail in the description =^_^=

I have SO many stock photos, so please, put a link to the actual image too or they wont be able to find it.

This should go without saying, but I'll say it anyway: No reuploading as is, nor offer as pre made stock. You have to change the picture in some way (and not just microscopic changes), or it's just theft. DA rules apply. I don't mind that you might experiment and learn to use various digital filters, colour adjustments and such, but that sort of work should be acknowledged as a process of learning, not a finished work and is best left on your computer. Caption is a special case, and require a link on the image.


I'm always delighted with traditional arts studies, art students and working artists that use my work for their art. Photo manipulations are certainly allowed, and I have no problem with DA prints as long as you follow my rule on how you use the image and that you do some serious work on it before you offer it as a print. I'm pleased to be able to help folks learn, as well as produce quality art and develop their visions of the world. Traditional art made with my work as reference can also be sold. If you make a substantial amount of money where my image is the main source it would be nice if you gave me a little contribution as thanks =^_^=


All my pictures are free to use for artwork, and publishing your result on deviantART is fine (as long as you follow my rules), but if you want to use the pictures elsewhere (on other sites, for commercial use, etc.), please ask first. It probably won't be a problem, but I will make the decision based on the circumstance.


Purchase Downloads:
DA has a new system where you can offer downloads for a price. I will offer some of my earlier unavailable stock for download for varying prices. This grants you access to the full resolution of the image (see image details on the deviation). The same rules still applies, it's a non commercial license, it only grants you access to the file. The normal view that everyone can access can be used by everyone, no charge, even if the full size file is only available for a charge. This will mostly be done with cat photos, which I don't share freely, but might escalate to popular files in hope of earning a little food money.



Commission: 100
I love doing commissions. I'll probably do it if I have what you ask for or able to do it in general.
On commissions, the price is generally 100 per shoot.
You commission a scene or theme and I will do a whole set for you, minimum 10 images but likely a lot more.
The more fun I have doing it, the more images you'll get.


Suggestions
You can give me suggestions on what to take photos of. The more I like it, the more likely I am to do it. The less I care for it the more likely you have to commission it to see it done.


Print Suggestions:
I only turn a few of my stock images to print. If you want to buy a print of any image in my gallery, just suggest it and I'll make it print ready for you


Gifts
I love costumes and props. If you send a donation, either in from of sending an object or transferring money so I can buy a specific item you will earn a nice big request using said item and great chances of seeing it used in future shoots as well.
My restrictions are few. Anything for the cats will definitely be loved, and give MANY images of it in use =^_^=
