This piece took over a year and two phases to create: first was the plein air phase, in which I found a scene I liked in nature and sat down in front of it to paint it. Second was the Space Girl phase. I love a good story, and this piece has a story to tell! What's she looking for? What does she see? Why is there a transparent space girl in the southwest? The truth is out there...

All I know is her name is Phi, which is a letter in the Greek alphabet and also a super-cute name for a Space Girl.

Framed watercolor and colored pencil with tracing paper on Winsor & Newton watercolor paper, 9x12 (11x14 framed)
