SHIFT

Decided to make something different for a change today. I had this idea in my head for about six months now but after countless attempts and different styles I somewhat gave up. Finally returned for a final try at it and it seems I made it at least somewhat as I had in mind the whole time. The idea itself is rather simple with a strong focus on the elements in the image as well as clearly defined lines to guide the viewer. The main emphasis was to keep colours rather minimal while putting a strong value on the shapes in the entire piece. As you can see the colour palette is rather minimal with only red and blue as well as the range from black to white playing an important role. This is probably the first piece where I didn't feel dumb to add some text to the mix since it fits quite well - in my opinion - with the rest of the shapes in the image. Other than that there isn't that much to say. Added some chroma shift in the mix but kept effects rather minimal. I think the chroma shift itself works rather well since it uses the two main colours in the image.

I'm not usually fond of bright wallpapers so with that said the piece also works well with inverted colours in case you feel like having it as your wallpaper and not burning out your eyes at night. The name itself seems to fit well with the entire idea that things like inverting colours and shifting the entire palette don't destroy the image in any way but simply change the mood.
