Since I'm still busy and taking a break from commissions, I feel it's the perfect moment to share the information of another artist! ^-^
My dear friend is open for commissions and her art is simply beautiful:
She is really super talented (I wish my style was as charming and clean as hers ;-; ) and one of the kindest persons I've ever meet! So I really recommend you to take a look at her art and consider commissioning her.
Her commission info:
That's all for now, everyone! I hope you are well and having fun this weekend!
I noticed I confused some people when I started posting my finished works, so I will try to clear some doubts. ^-^ Commissions are closed. All the pictures I'm uploading now were finished months ago, they just were not publicly posted in my gallery. When a commissioner allows me to post their piece in my gallery, that is the final step of the process. And that is the part I failed the most those past months. I still have many more old works to upload.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone interested in commissioning me now. But I have no idea of when or if I will open new slots. I haven't been drawing lately and there is still a lot of things to do here and in real life. I also want to take more time to draw for myself, make gifts for friends and be more active here in general. ^-^
By the way, I still have many old notes and comments to reply. If you still haven't heard from me, it doesn't mean I'm ignoring you on purpose or anything like that. It's just that I left things accumulated and it will take time until I get to everyone. I hope you understand. <3
Thanks again for all the support and I hope you all are enjoying the weekend!
All that and so many things to solve in real life stressed me a lot those past months. And I don't know about you, but, when I am stressed, I over think everything and take forever to solve the simplest problems. I really have to work on that about myself.
But for now, all I want is to focus on this new year! ^-^ I hope 2016 is a wonderful and relaxing year for all of us! With many drawings (and specially with Sesshoumaru/Kikyou fanart )!
I have many finished commissions to post, so I plan to upload some of them today, and the others through the week. But I'm probably going to post a old SessKik fanart first, just to keep the tradition. ;D
I hope you're well and having amazing start of year, everyone!
Hi everyone! ^-^ How are you all?
I'm so sorry for my lack of activity here lately... Things were just really crazy and my computer was having all kind of problems... >.< I also want to thank my commissioners for the patience, especially because I was not patient with this situation. T.T I was really upset for being late and for not being able to solve the problems with my computer sooner... In the end, I had to buy a new internet connection and a new monitor. The good news is that everything is working now and I'm feeling incredibly relieved.
Also, I want to say thank you so much to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday! I love you all!
Today I'll also accept some new commission slots to help me pay for the extra repairs in my computer, so commissions are open now. ^-^ If you're interested you can read the rules and prices here: fav.me/d4ud55q Just please keep in mind that my current commissions are my priority right now, so I'll only start working on the new slots next week. ^_~
Thank you again, everyone! I hope you all are having a wonderful week!
Edit: Hey guys! I just want to let you know I won't be able to open commissions today (March 29, 2014). I really wanted to start this new planning to accept new slots every Saturday, but I have too many messages to reply right now, and it's better to focus on the current commissions this week. I'm so sorry if I made anyone wait today. T.T I'll let you know when I'm ready for more commissions. Thank you so much!
How are you? I hope you're all well and enjoying this week so far!
I'm sorry for taking more time than I thought to open the commissions again. I had to work on some reserved slots from last year and was too busy to accept more. But now I'm here again and with some news. ^-^
I've been thinking in many ways to improve the organization of the commissions and make it easier for you to make your order, so I've edited the commission details. I'll experiment it for some time, and if doesn't work, I'll go back to the old way. ^_~ The main differences are:
- I'll send the previews and high resolution images via note here on dA. I can use Sta.sh to keep the images private, and this way we don't need to use another email or leave dA anymore. ;D
- Half body and full body have the same price now. The true is that the time I take to work on them is not so different, and it was becoming complicated to determine if certain poses were full body or half body. You can still request which one you prefer, but now we are freer to choose other angles.
- Commissions will be open in a specific day of the week. Right now I think Saturday is the best day for me. I will accept some slots today, and then I plan to open a few more Saturday. If this works, I think it will be much better for everyone because you will always know when commissions will be open. ^-^
- Finished commissions will be posted on Saturdays. This also makes me more organized about when to post the commission batches.
- No waiting list. If opening commissions in a determined day of the week works, then reserve slots won't be necessary, since you know when the next slots will be available. ^_~
It seems like a lot of information, but I think it will make everything much easier. X'D
If you're interested in commissioning me, you can find the rules and commission form here: cati-art.deviantart.com/journa…
Well, I think that is it for now. I promise to keep working hard to improve and make the best artwork I can for you, guys! ^o^
I hope you're having a wonderful week!
I just want to let you know that I'll only be able to open for commissions again in January. Some people have been asking me and I said I would open again soon, but I still have some current commissions to finish. I also want to finish some gifts to friends and old fanarts, so I'll take these final days of 2013 to organize everything. ^-^ Thank you so much to everyone who is interested and I can't wait to work with you in 2014!
Happy Holidays and may 2014 be a wonderful year to all of us!! ^o^
First of all, I'm so sorry for not replying most of your messages yet... T.T Actually, I haven't being able to read all the comments in those past weeks because real life was so busy. @.@ Hopefully this week I can put things back on track here in my page and also in my groups! ^o^
I also wanted to feature one of the commissions I finished this month:
It's Yang from RWBY, commissioned by . I thought it would be better to feature it instead of reposting it, to make things easier for groups and for people to favorite it. ;D
And my dear friend and I made a collab together and here is the result:
Yorleni's coloring is always so gorgeous!! OMG! ;u; Please check it out!!
I hope you all are doing great and having a wonderful start of week, guys!!
More updates coming soon!
I just want to say thank you for 50000+ pageviews and 1700+ watchers! It means so much to know there are so many people who like my work. You have no idea! It's your support that has been encouraging me to invest more and more in my art. And I'm so happy my latest drawing (cati-art.deviantart.com/art/Se…) was my 100th deviation! So many beautiful numbers! X'D Thank you so much, everyone!
I also want to mention my dear friend . Like me, she is trying to invest in her art and dreams. Her work is amazing and she is open for commissions right now. Here are some examples of her beautiful drawings:
:thumb336626902: :thumb356580140: :thumb357767797: :thumb356837923:
Check out her work and consider commissioning her. ;D You can read about her commission details here: yorlenisama.deviantart.com/jou…
I'm still busy finishing the commissions in the wait list and working on other projects, but I finally finished this journal with the story of how I became a SessKik fan. I had promised to write it a long time ago, so I'm very glad I'm finally posting it. I had to cut some parts because it was becoming too long and confusing, so those are not all my reasons. I may write a SessKik Frequently Asked Questions to mention other aspects. ^-^
Alright, so I think most of you've already noticed how much I like Sesshoumaru and Kikyou together. XD And I frequently receive comments asking me why, especially because they are not a canon couple.
First, I want to say I think people are free to like any pairings, canon or not, and nobody should say how you should create your fanart/fanfictions. They are just fictional characters after all. However, I personally can't go too far away from the canon. The original story is very important for me.
So, why do I pair Sesshoumaru and Kikyou? Well, it happened over the years, while the Inuyasha series was still on going, so the possibility of them becoming canon still existed. Below are some of the reasons why I like SessKik. Please note it may contain spoilers for the manga and anime.
How it started
Since I started watching the series, Kikyou has become my favorite character. She was intelligent, graceful, complex... Everything I enjoy seeing in a character. After watching the first season of the anime, I was sure Kagome was the right person for Inuyasha. Then I started to wonder how Kikyou's story would develop. Would she get over her feelings for Inuyasha?
On season 2, episode 35, it was revealed that Sesshoumaru had Tenseiga. For me, it was too much coincidence that Kikyou was dead and Sesshoumaru had a sword that could bring people back to life. It sounded natural it had a connection. I didn't know if they would have a romantic relationship, but I believed they would interact somehow. To makes things more interesting, I found images like these in the internet:
I could tell those were official pictures. I didn't know from what episode/movie they were or what exactly was going on, but they assured me that Sesshoumaru and Kikyou really were going to have a connection. While I waited for the new seasons, I started to imagine how they would interact and found more and more reasons they would work together.
One of the first reasons that made me believe Sesshoumaru and Kikyou would work is their personalities. They are compatible intellectually and in terms of maturity. They both are calm and elegant. I believe they would have a unique chemistry and tension between them. They would treat one another as equals, as adults. This kind of subtle and mature relationship fascinates me.
Sesshoumaru's contempt for humans
Sesshoumaru seemed to hate humans because he saw them as inferior. If he needed to overcome this prejudice, meeting Kikyou would be the best way. I think Kikyou has a lot of characteristics that, in Sesshoumaru's point of view, are admirable. After all, she is as intelligent and strong as him. He would finally meet a human who is in his level.
Some people could say Rin was enough for this task... I do think his care for her was extremely important. Especially because Rin is truly human (you know, she has no spiritual powers or special abilities). But she is just a kid. She is not in the same level as him. I think Sesshoumaru would only see humans in a different way if he met someone who could confront him. Someone who could challenge and intrigue him, but at the same time be as graceful and cold as him. In my opinion, Kikyou is the only character who could do that.
A more suitable person for Kikyou
I've never really believed in Inuyasha and Kikyou's love for each other. In my opinion, they lack trust and compatibility. And even though he is one of the kindest characters in the story, I don't think his personality suits Kikyou.
Kikyou is very independent and a little arrogant. Inuyasha is so insecure and kind that she could easily control him. I prefer relationships that have balance, where both sides are equal. Sesshoumaru would never be as kind and caring as Inuyasha, but his arrogance and confidence would make him able to intellectually confront Kikyou. I think they would have the same compatibility that Inuyasha and Kagome have (but more mature, of course XD).
I have already mentioned, but Tenseiga is one of the main reasons I started shipping SessKik. After all, there is any better person to pair with Kikyou other than someone who could give her a second chance to live? As a huge Kikyou fan, I would love to see what she would do with the possibility of having a new life.
Also, at that time, I believed it would be good for Inuyasha and Kagome's relationship if Kikyou was alive again. If Inuyasha chose Kagome, even having the real option of choosing Kikyou, it would make Kagome more secure about his feelings for her.
Another thing that intrigued me is when and why Sesshoumaru would bring Kikyou back to life. Would he be in love with her? Or maybe he would do that for Inuyasha? Would Tenseiga be able to save her? There were many interesting possibilities.
Kikyou's soft side for children
Rin is another thing I think could connect Sesshoumaru and Kikyou. During the whole series, we could see how Kikyou liked kids. She lost the chance to be with Kaede, and really cared for Sayo. Meeting Rin would certainly be good for Kikyou. It would also means a lot to Rin. I'm sure she would love to have a kind and experienced priestess teaching her everything about flowers and herbs.
They look beautiful together
This may be a kind of futile reason, but as an artist I have to say it. Sesshoumaru and Kikyou look incredibly good together!! They visually complement each other. It's just beautiful! They are definitely one of the most gorgeous pairings of the series.
It would not affect other canon couples
This was an important thing I considered back then. The main couples in this series are Inuyasha/Kagome and Sango/Miroku. Not only that, but they were a group and had a beautiful friendship. Any pairing that separates these strong bonds of the canon story would be hard for me to support, because they would interfere in the most meaningful messages of the story.
As you may notice, I really had a lot of ideas to explore, and my love for this couple grew more and more each day. And things got even more interesting when I finally saw they interact in the series.
Meeting in the first movie
Sesshoumaru and Kikyou have a brief meeting in the first movie, Affections Touching Across Time. The movies are not canon so I don't really consider them. However, it was great to see Sesshoumaru and Kikyou meet and talk. I liked how he appeared behind her and she didn't even bother to turn to him.
The first canon meeting
When I finally watched episode 116, things seemed even more interesting. Sesshoumaru was having a very difficult fight when Kikyou arrives. With a single arrow, she saves Rin and neutralizes Suikotsu. Now, think about this scene for a moment: Kikyou, a human, helped Sesshoumaru in a fight. She then simply passes by him, as if he is not a threat for her at all.
Sesshoumaru also stays while Kikyou talks with Suikotsu. He is just a few feet away from her and she doesn't seem afraid or worried.
Rin thanks Kikyou for saving her (calling her miko-sama, which was simply adorable <3).
Sesshoumaru starts leaving, but then stops, gaze at Kikyou, and wonder if she was the priestess who sealed Inuyasha. Sesshoumaru is not the type of person who would be interest in someone's past, especially a human like Kikyou, so that was very unique.
Overall, this scene was great for me. Both Sesshoumaru and Kikyou could see something unique about each other. Kikyou saw Sesshoumaru trying to save Rin, and also helped him in the fight. While Sesshoumaru witness the first time Kikyou hesitated in taking a Shikon no Tama shard, after she started her plan of using it to destroy Naraku.
For me this was the perfect first meeting for these two. If something developed between them, this subtle and unique start would be simply perfect.
Sesshoumaru mentions Kikyou
On episode 124/chapter 281, Naraku tries to kill Kikyou. Sesshoumaru supposedly watches everything and realizes Naraku was trying to get stronger simply to kill Kikyou.
When Inuyasha arrives, Sesshoumaru promptly makes a comment about Kikyou:
I feel this is important because Sesshoumaru considers Naraku an enemy. Inuyasha has the great sword Tessaiga, and yet Naraku considers Kikyou the most dangerous threat to him. A human being considered more powerful than Sesshoumaru and the heir of Tessaiga.
And we also have something interesting in the fan translation of the manga:
As a SessKik fan, it's obvious that I love to see Sesshoumaru asking Inuyasha what kind of connection he had with Kikyou. ^_~
I enjoyed this scene. I wasn't expecting Sesshoumaru would save Kikyou, because it would be too fast for two characters like them. I liked how Sesshoumaru seemed curious about Kikyou being so important to Naraku and Inuyasha. And I have to say it was a good surprise that Sesshoumaru was the person to say that Inuyasha failed to protect Kikyou. That was great. I never expected Sesshoumaru would be the one to say that. He even mentions Kikyou's name.
In short, it just added more interesting factors to my theories and the complex relationship I imagined Sesshoumaru and Kikyou could have.
Kikyou and Kohaku traveling together
The anime ended on episode 167, and I started reading the manga. On chapter 403 it was shown that Kikyou and Kohaku were traveling together. This was another thing added to my theories. Rin and Kohaku had a bond and would probably meet again. If Kikyou was traveling with him there were more chances she would interact with Sesshoumaru again.
And that actually happened on chapter 404, when Sesshoumaru saved Kikyou from Mouryoumaru.
Yes, Sesshoumaru saved Kikyou. But nothing was developed from that (I think you can tell it was like Rumiko Takahashi was torturing me >.<).
Inuyasha and his group arrive, Mouryoumaru and Sesshoumaru continue to fight, and when Sesshoumaru is having a hard time, guess who shots Mouryoumaru?
Yes, Kikyou helped Sesshoumaru in a fight again. ^_~
The manga continued, and reading chapter 464 I knew Kikyou would die definitely. But it was interesting that Sesshoumaru had a participation in that arc. First, he saves Kohaku when Kikyou's barrier is destroyed by Byakuya. Later on, when Kohaku is worried and wanting to go help Kikyou, Sesshoumaru is the one who tells him it's too late:
At this point, I was certain Kikyou wouldn't be back. But those were many years of dedication to this pairing. And Sesshoumaru and Kikyou did have unique and interesting moments, especially from Sesshoumaru's point of view. Kohaku even started traveling with Sesshoumaru, which made it easier for me to imagine how it would be if they were all a group.
I like how the manga ended, but I also feel I haven't seen enough development of some characters, especially Kikyou. So I enjoy exploring the idea of Sesshoumaru and Kikyou together. And since it would not alter the main couples, it doesn't affect my love for the canon series.
Well, that is it. I hope you enjoyed reading about how I became a Sess/Kik fan, and understand a little more why I like them so much. ^-^
In the beginning of the year I was using the computer for so many hours that I started to feel a little pain in my wrist. Thankfully it was nothing serious, but I know how that can be dangerous, so I had to stop and reorganize everything. I made my workspace more comfortable and I'm making more pauses from time to time.
Now, I'm completely fine and will work on commissions again, but I still have my personal projects (that I may talk about on my next journal ^-^). So, to not overload myself, I will contact those who are in the wait list and focus on their commissions right now. Once they are done I will open new slots. ;D
Oh, and just a note, the latest commission I posted (cati-art.deviantart.com/art/Co…) was from my last batch. It was finished last month but I could only post it now.
Well, that's it for now, everyone. Until next update!
I've finished my latest batch of commissions and I'm going to take at least a week before opening more slots. I just need some extra time to work on my own projects and take care of some things in real life before I can start more commissions. So I'm sorry to those who have been waiting for new slots, but I really need this time. ^ ^
The good part is that I may be able to finish some old projects and I think many of you will like the drawings I'll post soon, so stay tuned! ;D
First, I wish to you all a Happy New Year! Thanks to your support, 2012 was a great year for me here on dA. Thank you so much for every comment, watch, commission and favorite! I will do my best to be more active here this year and reply more comments!
I want to let you know that I will open some slots for commissions tomorrow, around the same time I'm posting this journal. I'm commenting it now because, if you're interested, you will have more time to decide what you want and fill in the commission form. ^-^ To read the rules and details about my commission process, please read this journal: cati-art.deviantart.com/journa…
Now, I would like to feature the entries of the Happy Holidays Challenge of my group:
by Cati-Art (me XD)
And I also want to feature the collab I did some time ago with my friend Mindsebbandflow:
I did the lineart, and she colored it. c:
Thank you again for all the support, everyone! I hope 2013 be a wonderful year for all of us!
If you have any question, please send me a note (I've been missing some comments lately).
Thank you for reading!
I just wanted to comment that I have been busy with real life and that is why I haven't been able to reply all comments and such... But I'm always very happy and flattered to know you like my work.
Also, in December it will be 10 years since I first started watching the Inuyasha series (I still can't believe that even after so many years I still love this series so much XD). As some of you know, it was because of Inuyasha that started drawing in anime style, so for me it will be an important moment to think about how much I have improved during these years.
I want to keep working hard to improve my style and the commissions are a great chance to get the money I need to keep investing in my drawing skills. Therefore, to keep things more organized, I'm updating some things in my commission info. Since I have already finished more than 10 commissions, from now on I will receive the full payment before start the drawing, instead of receiving it in two parts. I will also only put people in the wait list when the commissions are open (otherwise the wait list will became too big, and it will complicated to keep track of all the orders). I hope these changes are okay for everyone. ;D
Well, that is it for now. I hope you all are having a great week!
Commissions are now closed. I still have to answer some notes and I'll reply them in some hours or tomorrow. <3 Thank you so much, everyone!

Do you remember in my analysis about Kagome's eye color, when I wrote "this time I will have to defend Sunrise..."? Well, I said that because, unfortunately, I'm going to criticize Sunrise a lot from now on. It's important to say that I love the anime, and if it wasn't for it, I probably would never know about Inuyasha... But the thing is Sunrise altered a lot the story and the characters, and when I read the manga for the first time, I was shocked to see so much difference.
I think what attracted my attention the most was the part between Kagome/Inuyasha/Kikyou. It's difficult to sum up, because there are huge differences in the whole series and they are not coherent. But I can say the anime removed many of the most important and romantic moments between Inuyasha/Kagome, and invented dozens of Inuyasha/Kikyou ones. I don't know if it was to create more drama or something like that, but in my opinion, the difference is enormous...
In the manga, it's much easier to see how much Inuyasha loves Kagome. It's also easier to understand Kikyou's character. Maybe if the anime had not invented/altered her scenes with Inuyasha, more fans would know that she wasn't a real threat to his love for Kagome, and Kikyou would be much less hated by the fans.
It is not something easy to explain, so I'm planning to write analyses and draw scenes from the manga. I'm not an expert or know every little detail about the series, but I want to somehow make more fans know how beautiful the original story is. It's a very big project, but at least I want to try because I really enjoy doing things related to the Inuyasha series.
By the way, that is also why I just created another InuKag group here on dA: . I know there are already many groups for them here (and I especially love two of them: and ). But I've been rereading the manga, and I think Inuyasha/Kagome has officially became my favorite canon couple (Kenshin and Kaoru, from Rurouni Kenshin, were my favorite, even though I don't draw them so often XD). I love to make graphics and contests, and most of my ideas I can only make if I'm the founder of the group. X'D
Also, I wanted to create a group focused on Inuyasha and Kagome's canon relationship. Of course we will accept all kinds of alternative universe works, but mainly I want to make contests related to the original story, and talk about the manga moments that were removed from the anime...
I even created a small fansite (with a very simple layout and content, right now ) to be a part of it: inukag.sweet-feelings.com I won't make a fanfiction or fanart archive because we already have the awesome Eternal Destiny for that. My fansite is going to be just a small place to collect the Inuyasha/Kagome moments from the anime and manga. I think InuKag deserve all the love they can get! It would be my way to pay tribute to Rumiko Takahashi and her original story.
Oh, and I also would like to say that I still plan to open for commissions soon. X'D I just want to make a few more tests... I did not like the result of the drawings I did for myself recently, but last week I think I finally realized the problem... I was desperately trying to learn more about composition, lighting and anatomy, but I was not taking enough time to get the feeling of the picture (and I'm a person that needs to truly feel the emotion to draw something). I know that technically I'm not very good yet, so now I want to focus in the emotions of the drawing. Anyway, this week I'm almost sure I will finish the samples and post the commission information.
I just would like to feature an amazing Sesshoumaru/Kikyou animation by . If you haven't seen it yet, go take a look:
Also, is holding a contest to draw a scene of her Inuyasha fanfiction, where you can win 1 year Premium Membership and more. Check out her journal for more info: sunlancer.deviantart.com/journ…
Well, that is it for now. I've been testing some animations and doodling a lot, but nothing I could post. XD However, this weekend I'm planning to finish more Inuyasha fanart. So stay tuned!
I have been receiving messages asking me about commissions (I'm so flattered ) and I decided to inform you about my plans... I will try to practice a lot these next days, and stabilize my style just a little, before open for commissions. I want to be sure that I can draw what you ask me to. So I'm planning to open for commissions in the end of this month or in February. By the way, unfortunately, I can't reserve anymore slots right now. Some people already asked me this, and the list is becoming too big. If I keep reserving slots, when I open for commissions, I will already be too busy. T.T
Meanwhile, I would like to suggest you to commission my friend YorleniSama. She is accepting commissions for only $5 for 3 months. You can read more details here: yorrukia.deviantart.com/journa… And here are a few samples of her beautiful work:
:thumb277072673: :thumb264302511: :thumb264517724:
Also, this is the fist time I'm using a different journal skin. In the end of last year, Leiriope and Eriu-Dawn kindly gave me a premium membership, but I didn't have the chance to start customizing my page until now. I know a little of CSS, so I created my own simple transparent skin. I still have to get used to all these new features, but in the time being I'm going to feature these two kind persons:
Leiriope's Ao No Exorcist FanFiction: :thumb243280695: and
she is also holding a contest, to illustrate a scene form her fanfiction, where you can win 6 Month Premium Membership and more. You can read the details here: ignis-pectus.deviantart.com/jo…
And here are some drawings and fanfiction by Eriu-Dawn:
:thumb278810637: :thumb272578030: :thumb271802112:
Well, that is it for now. I hope you are having a nice weekend!
I just would like to say thank you to you all for the comments, watches, and favorites so far! I wanted to let you know that I may take time to reply, because there are a lot of messages, but each one of them means a lot to me. You have no idea how happy I'm to know that you like my drawings. It really encourages me to keep posting my work here. Thank you so much for the support!
Some days ago, PrachetaInuyasha, InuGrrrl and InuKagomeluvrs told me that some of my works have been posted without my permission on zerochan.net. Well, it did not affect me, since I'm already used to it. But it made me think about a decision that I have been wanting to make for a while now.
When I first started drawing Sesshoumaru/Kikyou fanarts, I always took many hours in each detail and my works became my little treasures. I wanted to share them on the internet, but at the same time I also wanted to keep them to myself somehow. I tried using huge watermarks, disabled right clicking, etc. But soon I realized that it was impossible to be 100% safe, considering that this is the internet and it is almost impossible to completely control something here.
During these last years I have seen my work being used without my permission some times and I started to wonder... After all, when can something be really considered art thievery? I thought a lot about it and came to the conclusion that I personally want to be more condescending.
In Zerochan.net, for example, some people posted fanarts there without permission (what really is wrong, of course) but they aren't claiming the images as theirs. My watermark contains my URL and signature so I think this enough credit for me. In these cases, I personally don't worry so much.
Sess/Kik fans are other example. Sesshoumaru and Kikyou barely meet in the series, so there are just a few images of them. I started drawing exactly because I wanted to see them together. So now when I see some of the few SessKik fans using or posting one of my works I honestly don't feel like stopping them. To spread the love for this pairing was my objective in the first place.
I also have been passing through many difficult moments in my life lately, and I started to see things in a different way. I have been so busy that when I came here I don't want to lose much time with problems that aren't so important to me anymore. There is so many great works that I want to see and comment here on dA... So many ideas that I want to draw... My friend InuGrrrl even encouraged me to start writing small fanfictions for my own drawings. I loved her idea but didn't have time to start writing anything yet.
Well, in short, I weigh the pros and cons and noticed that I will be happier if I stop worrying so much about my work being posted elsewhere. And it will also be great to see SessKik fans creating new things inspired in my works. So from now on, I will give permission to use my artworks to these who are simply fans of the pairings I support. Just please follow these rules:
- Credit me.
- Do not claim my work as yours.
- Do not alter the idea of my work (for example, I draw Sesshoumaru with Kikyou, so don't even try to put a Sesshoumaru that I have drawn with any other character. I make fanarts to support the pairings I like only.)
- Do not create bases from my work.
- Don't even try to sell my work.
- I would appreciate if you give me a link to where you posted it (I would love to see new things related to my favorite pairings. ^ ^)
- This permission is not valid for commissions. (I plan to do commission in the future and the images will belong to the commissioners, of course).
Well, these are the main rules. I may alter or rewrite them later when I got more free time. But this mainly means that you can use my works in Youtube videos, avatars, forums, as long as you give me credit. My main objective is to spread the love for my favorite pairings and try to worry less.
I think it is important to say that this is my personal decision. We have to respect that other artists may not want their work posted without permission. I already spent more than 15 hours in the same drawing, so I, more than anyone else, know how much effort we can put into a work and how much it can be important to us. I make my drawings with all my heart and they still are like little treasures; I'm simply sharing them a little more. ^ ^
I'm sorry for the long journal. Thank you for reading and have a great Halloween!
