My take on Blinx as a human/catboy? For an anthropomorphic game character you'd think there'd be more of it around.

The cat collar is reminiscent of little Blinx from the first game. Blinx turning into a human would make for some good fanfiction.

...actually, has this been done before?  I can't really remember.

I like to wonder, though.  Is this supposed to be based on either of his two appearances?  It makes me think of a mix.

Yeah, there's some human Blinx out there, but not much. :(

Yeah, it's based off both games. :la:

I don't have any particular interest in humanizations, but it's still interesting to see, I suppose.  It always shows off some different interpretations.

And now that I think about it, I kind of wonder what drawing Blinx as his usual feline self in a mixture of both designs would look like.  It's an odd thing to me, conceptually, because I think of the two incarnations as being rather separate given the different appearances, voices, personalities, and even language (I love it when games use their own language, like Klonoa did).  Maybe I should try mixing the two at some point.  It sure seems like he aged a good deal between the games, so I suppose one could go for some kind of inbetween (although I might throw in the tattered clothes and scar just to make it recognizable).

Now I'm wondering just how young he must have been in the original.  He did apparently still have a lot of maturation to go, both in his voice and appearance.

In human years I imagined little Blinx was around 8-10 and mature blinx around 15-16, give or take. It's hard to tell how old everyone is based on their personality. Blinx did mature a lot though. It's like seeing a childhood friend you haven't seen for years - they've changed so much but they are still the same person.

I treat both versions of Blinx seperately. I only draw his older self but I've noticed when I draw him and talk about him he takes on some traits from little Blinx. From looking at my icon I drew Blinx's eye shape and pupils larger and rounder than Picaro. Also whenever I draw Blinx he always seemed younger than Picaro and NecoJi but I didn't know why. So really I'm already mixing both appearances in my version of Blinx without noticing til now.

How enlightening. :V

Hooray for introspection :U

Blinx's age in the original kind of confuses me.  He definitely appears quite young, but imagining him being at that age as a worker in the time seems a bit peculiar.  We really have no gauge for what standards are when it comes to those things in the Time Factory, though, so I guess it could be whatever.

I generally think of the Blinx from the first game, actually.  Part of the reason for that is probably my focus on that compared to BLiNX 2 despite enjoying both.
