Appearance: Amalie is a stereotypical Scottish lass with ginger hair and green eyes. Her hair reaches to her shoulders and is naturally wavy but she does straighten it on occasion thought it’s often windswept or wavy due to always riding. She has a love for tartan or checkered shirts and is more often or not wearing that when she's casual. She's very short and her hight is something she's not very fond of. 

Personality: Amalie is a bit of a girly girl who likes her dresses, makeup and romance novels. She's a hopeless romantic, though she tries to hide this desperately. Thankfully Zach has no idea of her Jane Austin collection and hidden stash of P.S. I Love You. Amalie is rather antisocial due to her rough childhood, she has trust issues and this causes her to be overly causious of everything and everyone. Because of this she finds it hard to make friends. Lily has affectionately nicknamed her the 'Socially-Akward Penguin', which makes Amalie laugh. 

Relationships: Amalie's parents, John and Alana McKenzie, were both Scottish and moved to England for business. Amalie's mother died when she was four and so she was always very close to her father. Sadly her father died when she was just about to turn eight and she went into foster care before running away to Antrium. 

She views Sobian as an older sister, and on some occasions as a mother figure, and Lily as a younger sister, as Sou took her in and helped her become a jockey at the age of 15. She's friends with Scott and Ben but maintains a more Boss-Employee relationship rather than friendly. Freya is her Bestie and helps her with Golden Fields. 

Her best friend and confidant is her stallion, Abyaz, who she was given by her father when he was born.

The only friend she has outside AS is Harley from FHF, who has been friendly with her and overlooked her antisocial disposition and helped her relax. They remained close friends and kept in regular contact. After both their respective accidents the two started dating. 

She's become rather paly with Kaira, the rider of the infamous Ghost, though the pair mostly talk online, though they have hung out once or twice. Amalie was discovered to have a secret hobby in Breakdancing and she and Kaira met up to have a little friendly battle before hanging out with Ghost for some photos. 

Amalie and Catina became friends over the Internet and connected over their love of horses, particularly Catina's TB mare Apollo. 

Harley broke up with Amalie on the one year anniversary so he could focus on his swiftly building racing empire and she could have someone he felt would give her more time. Their breakup was semi-amicable with Amalie very much not ok but ultimately agreeing to go separate ways. It took her almost a year to find her feet again and when she did so she veered off from horse racing to branch out into Shedu racing.
