2nd Gen Rivals

Edit: First Place and 1st place ribbon

Juliet entered in the Quillacious Stakes, along with her new friendly rival BRS Daddy's Dollars. Juliets father, Abyaz, also had a racing rival, Exclipse, who was a buckskin black chimera. The apple clearly doesn't fall far from the tree xD

Story:

It was Juliet's first HARPG race, up till now all she'd done was G1 Jockey sponsored races. Surprisingly, FHF's chimeric Colt Dollars was entered as well and a familiar, although far more friendly, rivalry streak rose in Amalie as she grinned at his jockey.

Juliet was somewhat shyer than her father had ever been, the filly was light on her feet true, though rpright now at the starting line it was for all the wrong reasons. She'd just finished her two year old training and was very very fresh. Still, she was Abyaz's daughter and that ment that regardless of the jitters, she loved to race. For a moment as they stood impatiently at the starting gates, Amalie's mind drifted back to when the filly was just a foal, all leg and play, constantly racing her younger, more confident sister. Amalie had always hoped Juliet would take on some of Juls confidence, but bpjudging by the twitching of her withers and heavy breathing, that wasn't ever happening.

The gates bars flew open and the horses thundered out, tearing up the grass as they took up their relative racing positions. Unlike her iconic father Juliet liked to stay near the back for the duration of the race, keeping an eye on all the other horses before closing in at the end. Amalie adjusted to her racing style well, keeping her focused and occasionally showing the whip to spur her on.

Towards the end Juliet closed up beside Daddy's Dollars, the handsome Colt keeping his head. Amalie was uncertain if she liked the bright orange colours more than his previous green and yellow, but one thing had not changed: his strength at raging. Amalie really had to work to keep the filly invested in the race, as Dollars kept overtaking. Sometimes Juliet would run ahead only to keep him on her heels or even fall behind.

The thrill of a close race came back and Analie grinned, wondering if the other two were enjoying this back and forth as much as she was. Racing against Eclipse was stressful and difficult, racing against Dollars was simply a total rush, providing she was riding Juliet who had a different racing style.

The finish was in view now and Amalie stopped paying the chimera any attention and focused solely on getting her filly across the finish line with record speed.
