Mission Statement

My mission with my artwork is to inspire awe, to stimulate the mind and the creativity in others. To create possibilities and to ask "What If?".

Hi;
My name is Ali Ries and my artistic specialty is Space Art. I also love fractals. I grew up with Star Trek and science fiction that left me wanting to create "strange new worlds and to explore new civilizations". Since I could not be an astronaut, I indulged my love of Science by taking classes in Astronomy and in the Biological Sciences, becoming a nurse. The last decade though has found me learning how to do art where I could finally explore a Universe of my own making. Some people have really like my artwork and have offered me opportunities to have that art show up in movies, TV, book covers and merchandise, in some of my favorite SciFi franchises. I consider myself blessed!! Plus my grand kids think it is cool!
