I love this image. The color is so vivid, and I love how the little boy is looking at the flow with such a cute yet perplexed smirk on his face. The effect that you have added where the greens and the yellows shine through is amazing. It is very very original, I haven't seen anything like it before, you never really see a little boy holding a flower its always a little girl, in a meadow etc. So it makes me feel good that you broke the stereotype. The impact for me is just as I have said, boy vs girl... only thing I do not like is the camoflauge shirt... now thats just me.

I really like this image. I like the sharpness of the blacks and yellows, and of course the ever popular bokeh, however I do feel that the yellow may be too sharp. It seems to overpower the image, and from there it turns into more of a jumble of black and yellow shapes, and it steals focus away from the child and the flower. I do love how the light catches the edges of the sunflower's stalk, however, preventing it from disappearing into the backdrop, keeping more focus on the flower, and also on the edges of the boy's shirt, arm and the edge of his face. It acts as an outline to keep everything from blending into one, and it seems slightly as if the sunflower and child are linked in a way.
OVerall good work <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="

Vision: 4/5 - Summer is certainly an obvious theme here, with the warmth of the yellow and the image of the flower and a young child, but it also shows pure innocence with nothing negative in the picture.
Originality: 3/5 - I think it looks original, but not like it's never been seen before. I do, however, think you presented the image clearly and respectfully.
Technique: 3/5 - As I mentioned above I think that the yellow is too bright and steals focus, however, as I have also said, it is well presented and clear.
Impact: 5/5 - I don't tend to critique unless I find the image moving or it has a massive impact, and this one is full of the latter. The Yellow may be overpowering but it certainly grabs the attention of the viewer before anything else and draws them into it.
I think you did a great job.
