The Burn (BU Lunar New Year Part 2)
As the cloudy sky first started showing the first signs of dawn, the group of boucles grazed on some grass for a quick breakfast, and then Nova, Oneiros, Ingwe, Ravena, Lystra, Razura June, Danu, and Cheshire Bones made their way back to Ignis’s Shrine.
One could say it was quiet, and it was in the sense that no one spoke in upraised voices - only quiet whispers. There was a sense of tension, determination, and a touch of awe, but the quiet ended there. Hundreds of boucles gathered, waiting for ignis to appear. They were not late, yet many others had been even earlier than they, and more trickled in as they took their spaces facing where the fire god was to appear.
“I had no idea so many would heed the summons” Cheshire whispered to Razura June.
“I know. It’s crazy. We all want our lives back and worry about the spring. I think many see it necessary.” She replied in a quiet voice.
Taking their places among the others, most of the group stood still, however, Danu was hopping on

Ignis' Summons (BU Lunar New Year Part 1)
It was as if spring would never come. Not true spring. Whatever this weather was, it wasn’t normal. Storm after storm assaulted the land, and those in Unicornia were worried. The ground was barren. The amount of rain soaking the ground, making it impossible for the normal spring growth to bloom. The uncommon winter snows had turned to slush, the slush to torrents of water, the frozen ground crying as rivers and streams overflowed, washing trees and plants away. The unicorns prayed to their gods and goddesses, worried, but the storms continued without ceasing.
Many had their suspicions. Even when the sky seemed less stormy, when it was at its clearest, the clouds around Fulmen’s temple remained dark and menacing. The lightning and thunder unceasing. Someone had angered the deity. Someone would have had to. This weather was unnatural, and the storm clouds whirling over his temple seemed to be enough proof for most. Something had to be

A Little Mishap, a Big Discovery
It was late at night and the soft sound of music played in the background as Miranda continued to take notes and solve equations. The computations seemed correct, yet things still weren’t adding up, and she felt she couldn’t rest until she found her solution. In her world, science and magic were deeply intertwined, and she was trying to figure out how to create a portal. Many wizards had theories behind creating portal machines, but so far, none but the best could create them or hit their target location with any accuracy. A lot of it was a whole lot of math, a bit of patience, and quite a bit of luck.
Biting her lip, she paused, and finally it dawned on her, she was missing a vital, yet simple step to her equation. Scratching it down, she put her pen down with an excited tap, and got up to move over to her computer, and started inputting the data into her program. Hitting enter, she held her breath as the machine came to life and started humming quietly. Everything was set up, and if

A Walk in the Woods: Chapter 4
Just as Sollys was rising to her feet, a sense came about her that she was not alone. Not alone at all. It made the fur rise along her back, and she began looking around with her deep black pools. Nothing could harm her. Not really. She was a spirit, and it was hard to hurt another spirit. Esk were peaceful creatures, and even if they meant ill against other esk, it was impossible to hurt or attack one physically. Their very souls were bound by an oath that Sollys assumed was as old as time itself. Maybe that was true, perhaps not, but either way, every esk she had ever encountered knew about it. It was a part of their very being. A part they could not shake or change. It was strange, and even the most ancient of esk seemed to be bound by this promise, this pact. The act of peace, however, did not expand to personal feelings, and while they could not physically harm each other, they could mock, or make jabs at one another. One could dislike and show that dislike, just not in actual
