Doves in nest

By carvenaked
1K Views
My neighbor came over the other day knowing how I love to take pictures, turns out he was cutting in a pine thicket and uncovered this nest. He will leave them be till the little one flies the coop.. I cooed as softly and re-assuringly as I could but still they were a little nervous.. I kept ten feet back and once again reaffirmed my love for the telephoto lens.
Two doves posing in a nest in a pine thicket in Thompson CT.

Not sure... even if I knew how to check not sure if I'd have the nerve! Thanks!

What a pretty picture! My Brother used to raise doves and so I've watched them grow before, but there's just something about seeing them in the wild... Their natural enviroment. :-) Again awesome shot!

Thanks! I'd have to say one of the greatest pleasures is to get to know all the animals that live 'with' me! Some don't want to know me though!

I know that feeling... A certain neighborhood skunk doesn't like me working too late into the night. Messes up his rounds LOL
