Fatherly Touch

As I stated on Tumblr, I tried to imagine El Dolor De Kurtz or El Fundador adopting my bat-themed girl Irene of the Night. Yes, I admit this AU idea is... pretty out there. I'm still figuring out certain details, but here's what I've got, so far. I feel like Kurtz would initially come across as cold and impatient toward Irene, but slowly warm up to her, kinda like Carl Fredricksen from Up or Gru from Despicable Me. I can also imagine that Kurtz became overweight from years of poor eating habits, but starts to look after his health more, in the months before adopting Irene.

Other headcanons

⦁    accepts Irene's alternative fashion sense and rejection of social norms from the start
⦁    struggles to understand her specific needs as an autistic girl
⦁    raises his voice around her, but often regrets it afterward
⦁    lenient with curfews, grades, etc.
⦁    occasionally shows physical affection by resting his hand on her shoulder, back, arm, etc.
⦁    gets his knowledge from online research, especially about autism and female puberty
⦁    mostly lets her eat what she likes, within reason
⦁    tends to eat ready-made meals or other easy-to-prepare meals with her
⦁    lets her eat meals in her bedroom
