Hey Bun cute drawing you got here. (again sorry that I haven't reviewed in a while
)
Okay so first of all I like your positioning of Tara. (meaning that you definitely managed to make her look like she was siting on a chair)
Tate's position n his chair however does look a bit off. Its not terrible or anything but if someone looks at it long enough then they could probably tell.
As for drawing these two as a pair I'd really like to see Tara and Tate in some different outfits. I get that they are best friends and everything and their outfits right now do look adorable but when they are in a room together they have a hard time standing apart from each other.
You could still give them the whole twinzy feel without giving them almost completely similar outfits.
That being said the differences that you did give them (like how Taralyne has tights, a scarf and different shoes) do not go unnoticed. Its just that sometimes they do not seem like enough.
When you have time you should try to include some more background stuff into your drawings (lol Like I am one to talk).
You don't always have to do some really detailed overly complicated background but adding say, a plain background color will do wonders for your picture. I've had to learn this for my own drawing through trial and error.
A lot of your drawing can get away without a really detailed background but when you add stuff like tables, chairs, and other things that would go with a setting some form of background seem more appropriate.
Another thing that I'd really like to see you try is shading. It can be a pain sometimes but I find that the result it totally worth it. It really makes the art pop and adds a lot of subtle detail that most people enjoy.
I think that's all I can come up with for now. Hope this helps and that I didn't offend you in anyway. (I tired to be as honest and as objective as possible)
Umm One last thing thought, this isn't really a drawing tip but when posting stuff to dA, it'd be really great to see some more commentary from you. like a little background set up for whats going one in the picture. Like here for example. Maybe Tate asked Tara out on a date or something? It could be anything that you want.
I just find that more people will be interest if you have some to say about your drawings.
