Welcome to Cartoon Cosplay!

Here we collect and display cosplays based on televised cartoons and/or animated movies! Everything from new cartoons like Adventure Time and My Little Pony, to the classics like Flintstones and Scooby Doo, and everything in between!
I made this group because I noticed a serious lack of a cartoon-focused cosplay group! There are dozens for anime, quite a few for comics, some more for video games, and even a few for movies. But cartoon enthusiasts such as myself lacked one central group that showcased cartoon cosplays, which strangely enough, aren't cosplayed as often, despite being iconic, recognizable, nostalgic, and often times easy to do, due to their simplicity in designs.
So I hope you'll enjoy this new group! Old and new cartoon fans alike, feel free to join, watch, submit, and make suggestions!
We're new here! Help us fill our gallery with cartoon cosplays!
What We Accept:
If your cosplay comes from multiple media such as comics, video games, live action, plays, etc. it must be the version that is seen in the cartoon medium. For example, if you submitted a Teen Titans cosplay, it would have to be from the Teen Titans or Teen Titans Go! shows, instead of the comic books. If there is little or no difference in design, then you won't have to worry about it. ;3
Any costumes you submit do have to be based on the cartoon version, but they don't have to be exactly like it. For instance, a pin up version of the little mermaid, or a genderbent version of a character is a-ok!
We focus on mostly western media, so please no anime/Japanese cartoons, including anime versions of Western cartoons. However, Avatar, Korra, Teen Titans and similar shows would still be allowed here because they are a franchise of a western company, and the initial broadcasts were intended for western audiences. ^_^
"Why no anime?" you may ask. It is a cartoon after all- and don't get us wrong, we love anime too! But there are already PLENTY of groups that specialize in anime cosplay. We'd like to focus on the cartoon series outside of that.
While we presently don't have a submission limit per costume or folder, try not to submit an obnoxious amount of similar deviations. Try to keep it interesting with varying pictures! Five different shots of the same portrait at slightly different angles is not necessary, one will do just fine. XD
If mass submission or incorrect use of folders becomes a problem, please message us and we will look into it. We'd rather keep the group easy to use for everyone, but if the folders and generous submission limits are abused, we would have to install more strict measures. We'd rather not do that though. ^_^
Folder Tips & Troubleshooting:
The "Classic Cartoons" folder includes (but is not limited to) Betty Boop, Popeye, Flintstones, Jetsons, Looney Toons, Peanuts/Snoopy, Smurfs, etc. Eligible series are any televised show that were aired before the 1990's. Some other classics that are more frequently cosplayed have their own folders, such as Scooby Doo.
For our purposes, a 2D movie is a movie such as the traditional hand drawn features, like Snow White, Pinocchio, Beauty and the Beast, Road to El Dorado, etc. A 3D movie would be a computer generated movie such as Tangled, Frozen, Wreck-It Ralph, Brave, Despicable Me, Shrek, etc. For the sake of simplicity, 3D will also include other media such as stop motion, claymation, etc. It does not refer to whether the movie itself was shown in 3D with the glasses and such, just in the way it is animated. ;3
Also, please let us know if you have trouble submitting to a folder or if it gets full. If you accidentally submit to a wrong folder, let me know and I will fix it for you. Thanks!
If there is ever a series or folder you would like me to add, please feel free to comment or send a message so I can update the gallery for you!
