Even better, it's now on its THIRD printing, AND we're going to talk to some people about getting it into the local school system. It gets better! "Passages" and I will be making our debut entrance to the writer's world. I've been invited to be a Session Speaker at the Carolina Writer's Conference.

I am extremely hyped about this. But anyways, now I feel kind of like a brag, so I'll lay off...It's just so wonderful!

I've been accepted to CCAD! Yay! Pretty soon I'll be sending in my digital portfolio. Also, I'll be applying to some other colleges as well. As much as I'd like to just put all my eggs in one basket, I know the wisdom of having several options. I am also seriously considering Ringling College of Art and Design. Their alumni and work are very impressive.

Musicals! "Guys and Dolls" was awesome!
An older (only by a kid's standard) movie called "The Sting" starring Robert Redford and Paul Newman. A wonderful gem. I highly recommend it. Coming from one who lives and breathes movies like an addicting hobby, trust me. You will not be dissapointed.
"The Astonishing X-Men" Two words to describe this comic series. Joss...Whedon. He's the author and he dishes up a healthy serving of plot twists, Wolverine and Beast dialogue, and over-all awesomeness. It's worth the dough.

Alrighty guys n' gals, here's the definite plan! I'll be arriving in Columbus early Sunday morning for the big College day. My mom and I will be staying the night and coming back to the campus on Monday morning. My formal appointment with the admissions officer is at 12 on Monday and then our plane leaves at 3-ish. I really would love to see everyone again! Especially if this may be my last trip to Ohio. Hopefully it won't be. Anyways...I'd rather not post personal info. on the world wide interweb, so if anyone wants my cell phone number to give me a buzz that day, just tell me and I'll note ya'. If not, we can just wing it.
I hope to see everyone this weekend! Yay! I'm so excited!

Road Trip!!!!

On Oct. 5th, my Mom and I will be coming up to CCAD! We're going for the interview and big portfolio day that CCAD hosts, so it's going to be pretty neat. And to everyone there...I hope to see y'all again! I'm arriving on the 5th and leaving on the 6th, but I hope I can see everyone before I have to leave.

Hola everyone!

Here's whats been going on lately:

1. Mural pictures still aren't up. I know. A professional photographer is taking pictures of it this coming Saturday, so pictures will be up soon! Also, she is taking pictures of some paintings and poster sized pieces I've done lately. So those should be up shortly, too!

3. I have some incredibly exciting news...I'm a published author!!! My comic book "Passages" has hit the local stands! A local organization hosted a comic book writing contest back in April and the prize was a published comic book. I was the winner (!) and it was published in comic book format this past week. I had the honor of being a featured author at the Charlotte Literary Festival last Saturday where Passages made its debut appearance. I had a blast! I met so many wonderful artists, speakers, authors, and people in the writing field. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and it got my name out there. A few people approached me about doing more comics, re-designing logos, and even illustrating their children's books. All of this is incredible and I am so happy about having these opportunities.

4. College interviews begin in October. Portfolio preperation is underway, and the chiropractic and therapist bill just went through the roof (for me, not my parents). I am thrilled and terrified at the same time. I'm so nervous! All I can do is work hard, get ready, and pray.

5. Lastly, congratulations to all my friends who are currently enjoying the college life! Good work and I'm so happy for y'all!

6. And finally, the only reason I still have that blasted jumping emoticon right now is because my computer won't let me change it. It's closer to a more subdued frantic frenzy alternating between manic happiness and adrenaline pumping anxiety attacks. Annnnnnddd, I think that's it! Good night to all!

The mural unveiling has a date! TOMORROW NIGHT! This is a really big deal for me, since it means that: (a) half a year's work is going on display in front of bunch people (b) it's my first public art showing (c) these people are some of my best friends (d) these people are some of my family (e) I'm sick as a pig without his mud puddle with allergies, right now (f) and I'm really nervous/excited! Seriously, though, a lot of work as gone into this and I'm pumped about finally being able to share it with the community. Also, it benefits both the library and me. They get a spankin' new piece o' artwork, and I get my name out. I'm happy! So keep me in your thoughts and prayers for tomorrow, everyone! I'll post pictures of it, later!

Also, I've thrown in a Chiana computer doodle from the show Farsape. It's AWESOME!!!! Go watch it. Now. Nah, really. I'm serious here!

And last but not least, my friend speedlight.deviantart.com/ is now doing commisions!!! I hope everyone stops by and sees her wonderful art and purchases something! She has an amazing gallery and does incredible work very quickly. So what are you still here for? Go! Look!
