Just wanted to share how my collection of Traditional scaled models looks as it is, of March 2015 :)
I have been collecting Trads for about a year now, and I regret not starting to collect that scale way sooner.. but well :)

As you may have noticed, Snowman is no longer there. He got a new lovely home. We never got along the best, so I thought he deserved a better place to live.

There are two more, who I know will enter the collection this year: The Copperfox Welsh Cob from my CF pledge and Simba the Breyerfest Celebration Horse, as they are both paid for already I am a dummy!

And the most recent recruit is the 2015 release Don't Look Twice :) I wrote a review of her and posted a lot of photos of her here, mistystarstudios.blogspot.dk/2…

Do they sell breyers where you live?

There is one in Denmark who imports Breyers and they work as an online shop, but they have limited stock. I have not bought from them yet.
All of my models are bought from Modellpferdeversand(MPV), MH$P(Model horse sales page - a site for mostly private sellers) and I have a single model from Ebay.

Thank you very much :) I'm happy you like my collection :D
The buckskin one to the far right is Maple Cream, a Peter Stone trotting drafter (non custom) mold.
He was a regular run in 2014, and I bought him online from Utterly Horses, as they got a few batches of Peter Stone regular runs imported last year.
They all sold out by now though :(

Wouaa! They are magnificent! You has to know you about it on Breyers, is what you know if Breyer always stood out "made in the USA" in awl? If he is marked "made in china" is a forgery?

Thank you :)

Breyers are produced in China nowadays. I'm not exactly sure when they moved the whole production there, but I've heard it was around 2005-07 or something.
Only extremely limited runs are still made in USA, like those less than a 100.

Thank you !
It is parce - that, I had found second-hand a forgery to breyer, but I believed at the beginning that was one (because he(it) is rather resembling)!
And exactly I wondered by looking in second hand shops, the awls of horses in case (to be sure(safe) if he(it) is marked "USA") it's a pity that they produce them in China now! It is all the products as his(her, its) now...

I'm not quite sure how you can tell if a Breyer is a copy or not.
Got to see it in hand to decide. But if you need presumed fake models judged, I guess you can try and post photos of them to STS forum, Only Model Horses forum or Model Horse Blab forum. Most people in the two last ones there are experts on Breyers :)

The Peter Stone horses are all still being produced in the USA :) But they are awfully expensive, to me at least, but if you try and look at MH$P you can still find Peter Stone models for a good price second hand :)

Thank you for the site, they are magnificent ! But I can buy for the moment no breyer ! Can be later !;)
(moreover, we find it little in France !) for the forgery to breyer, I had asked for one person who had a blog and which(who) sells breyers, and she told me that it was good a forgery !

Made, it is an imitation of the model " mustang diablo " but when I the found ais, me was in vain joy by thinking that it was a real to breyer! (Especially that I had bought him(it) 1 € ! XD) but by being in France, and of it found in a store of second hands! He(she) must be rare ! ^^

1 Euro for a fake is even a very good prize i think :) He/she could very well be rare. even collectors sometimes also look for fake models and collect them. At least with brands like Schleich and CollectA.

Yes I am going to keep(guard) him(it), even if it is a forgery, I find that he(it) is attractive ^^ (can be repaint him(it) later, I know not)

it is true that once in an attic sale, me ais seen from afar a cow (I was safe that it was the model of schleich that I know well) and made not by the whole ! It is an imitation ! (Then I the ais set with a calf(veal) also) they have differences of size and position ^^ similar, I think of repaint

Indeed, the fake models can be good victims for customization :)
