The Skull of Medusa

A little experiment with paper textures on Procreate !
This started as a real paper cut-out that I made to teach my students about Henri Matisse, but using the exact-o blade became too painful for me. So I digitized the shapes and tried my best to replicate the textures and shadows cast by paper shapes!!!
(This is the original, cut from actual paper)    




I had a lot of fun with this actually, it was nice to have a simple little project that I could work on with my left hand only!!!
I played around with the colors and layers a lot, here are some alternate versions that I really liked, but didn’t make the final cut.
