Tour like a 1 year old (Part 1)
The gleaming chrome and glass facade of “TotTeck TenderCare: Tomorrow’s Childcare, Today!” was a stark contrast to Mark’s own memories of sticky floors and chaotic, crayon-streaked playrooms. He adjusted his grip on his car keys, glancing at his son, Leo, who was leaning against the car, eyes glued to his phone screen.
“I really appreciate you coming with me, Leo,” Mark said, clapping a hand on the 21-year-old’s shoulder. “Your mom and I just want the absolute best for Sammy. This place comes highly recommended for the… uh, potty training guarantee.”
Leo slid his phone into his pocket and gave a half-shrug. “No problem, Dad. Though I still say you could just put little dude on a tiny toilet and cheer for him like it’s the Super Bowl. Worked on me, right?”
“Your mother did most of that heavy lifting,” Mark chuckled. “Come on, let’s see what the new automated childcare looks like.”
The lobby was silent, antiseptic, and empty of any other people. Soft, pastel lights glowed from the
