Wowza! So HAPPY JUNE to everyone reading this, even though it's almost frickin' July already. How'd that happen? -_- It's surprisingly hot in dear old England, but I'm coping quite pleasantly with a big fan and lots of cold water. And not leaving the house when the sun is at its hottest... Except for work, of course. But at least most of that is being inside a bus and then being inside a building, and back again!
I'm so happy to have gotten all my chibi commissions finished. There may be more coming in the near future as a couple more people (including my mom!) have expressed interest in ordering more. I hope to tweak them a little bit and make them look even better!
I've been really struggling to focus this year, so art has been helping me do just that and I find I can focus on other things now, too. My craft/computer room is a catch-all and I got it tidied up tonight, which made me feel less depressed and more positive. I've started crocheting again--although I have to pause my current project now to wait for an order of 7mm safety eyes to arrive--AND I've learned to knit! I've been to the library a couple of times and am actually READING STUFF, I'm gathering a surplus of belongings to take to the charity shop, I've been writing more of my newer novel, and as you can see, I've been pushing out the art! I've got an old tea cart to upgrade, a mental health bullet journal to start, and new craft projects to complete. I'm a little overwhelmed now by all this fun stuff, but I get it done bit by bit!
Some of you are probably surprised by the amount of digital art I'm uploading, since I'm primarily a traditional artist. Since I've been playing with my tablet and LOVING IT, I've decided to do BOTH! Probably unequal amounts depending on what media inspires me at the given time, but these Derwents, Copics, and paints aren't gonna sit around twiddling their thumbs with nothing to do anytime soon
So YAY! Hopefully very soon I'll have some crafty bits to upload, as well as the tea cart when I refurb it. TOODLES
