What a stupid fucking song.



Despite not being allowed within 300 feet of a pencil sharpener I have managed to maintain a reasonably normal life. That includes a job and everything.  It also includes withering slowly under a decaying sodium sun at strange hours in the morning.  Hence journal.

Here I attempt to illustrate my normalcy by pointlessly explaining why I like these pictures.  Pointless in the sense that I have no idea why I really like them, no more than I know why my life pisses on me each and every day like a pine cube in a nightclub urinal.  

But it's best to try, right?  There is no giving up.  Really, you just can't.  It's a bitch.


Thought for the day:  It's not that we 'can't' get the staff - we can.  

It's just that they are all useless.

Do opposites attract, or is it a longing for what we lack?    Do pictures capture a perfect moment or do they invent it?  These are all the things I think about when I see a pretty girl in a dress doing something cute.  Am I liking this for the right reason?  The picture is only as ever perfect as the observer, and as warm as this picture is, it makes me feel empty in comparison.  Or it would, if it wasn't for the brilliant moment that takes all my doubt, dismembers it, and throws it over a fence when no-one is looking.

How to transcend pretty girls in predictable poses?  Use timing to bring it to life.

:thumb178048823:  It's simply composed, well lit, and she has red hair.  Well it looks red to me.  As does brown.  It emphisises correct expossure making the differemce between a snap shot and a possible advertisment for daydreaming.

  Reminds me of a film - I can't tell you which.  Some dude, some chick.  Black and white can make the mudane seem alien.  It's the lack of distraction that I like.

I never know whether her shots are portraiture or environmental - they always seem to blend the two so well, that I end up more confused than a spider in a piano.  Or when I go to the Ben and Jerries counter at the flicks. I'm terrible.  This is good.


It's pretty. Almost and overpowering scene to be in with strong lines and colours.

I giggle when I see this.  I guess it's meant too be one thing, but when I see it I always get in mind that she;'s just stumbled drunkenly out of a bush and is trying to compose herself.

Mature Content

Not a pretty picture - I mean, the model is amazing.  You could push her in bin full of glue and feathers and it would start an art movement.  This photographer has managed to changed her into something else - not pretty, lean, a fighter, cagey and resolved.  Integrated. No play involved.

You can put a pair of gloves on anyone, but are they accessories or instruments by which you make your living?  Can you show that?
